Works For Me !! April 8, 2008 Carlos M. Gregory (Alameda,Ca) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I built a pressure treated wood 4x4 post hanger using metal connectors (construction hangers) in a " T " form.I cut the main post to 5' so I can easily water Tomatoes. The upper post is 36" long. The lower half of the post I put in a deep 5 gallon pot with 3 bricks on the bottom and filled to the top with pea gravel.I put two hooks on the underside of both "T" ends for hanging of topsy turvy bags. This believe it or not holds everything up quite well.It took me all of an hour to build this unit you'll only need a saw and hammer & nails tool wise. I do of course have two topsy turvy planters one on either side( must buy two !) of the upper " T " line for stability. Most importantly my Tomatoes have never grown better ! We had to share with the neighbors because we had so many. When your Tomatoes are in full bloom this unit looks really cool !! try it !!
Difficult to keep evenly moist August 30, 2007 B. Wright (Colorado) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
We are disappointed in the results of our tomato crop that we tried to grow in this container. It was increasing difficult to keep moist, let alone evenly. We tried using a canvas bag, set up the same way as this product and were able to see better results. Our potted tomatoes did beautifully again this year, so it was not weather, location, heat, etc. that caused the problem. We don't have time to baby a tomato plant.
Topsy Turvy Planter June 4, 2007 Busy Student (TN) 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
Wonderful product! Only a few weeks in, and the tomato plant my family planted has grown strong and healthy. We still don't know how it will fare in the upcoming weeks, but all seems to be going well. This is a great conversation piece, perfect for a family garden.

It works as described, easy to put together. Tomatos grow quickly and with no problems
Topsy Turvy Upside-Down Tomato Planter May 16, 2007 J. Vu 8 out of 12 found this review helpful
Maybe I just don't have a green thumb, but my plant died the next day. It's also a little tricky to put the plant into the Topsy Turvy.
