Handy hinges August 31, 2005 RyRego (Orlando, FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My neighbor has the "Performer" from Weber which comes stock with this grate. He uses it all the time to add charcoal and move the fuel holders from direct to indirect cooking. I figured it would be worth the extra 2 dollars to get this model(compared to the regular non-hinged grate) for my 7 dollar tri-wheel 22" Weber kettle garage-sale-special. I havent really used the hinges to their full potential yet, but I am sure I will once I become a Weber grilling master.
Must-have for slow-cookin'... June 3, 2005 Mickey Fickey (San Fran, Cali) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was born in KC and need to have my ribs done right (ie, not boiled in water first, but rather cooked entirely on the grill). If you do ribs, or anything that requires more than 45 minutes of heat, then grab this must-have accessory. For me, it's second only to my tongs as a grill add-on. Oh, and pickup the Weber BBQ book for great ideas and recipes (the KC-style ribs are spot-on). Enjoy!
Perfect for adding wood smoke chips August 29, 2005 Victor D. Chandler (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I do alot of indirect cooking and use several different types of wood for flavor. The Hinged Cooking Grate makes it more convienant and safer to add wood chips or additional charcoal. Number one in my book. Thanks, Vic in Texas

Grate was correct size, cheaper than finding elsewhere on-line and shipping was quick. Great product for the price.
Nice heavy duty grate. June 30, 2006 J. Teasley (Spring Lake, New Jersey) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My old one was rusted but serviceable. I bought this one at a very low price with free shipping. I was surprised it is of a higher quality than the original. Thicker wire, heavier stainless steel coating. Very pleased.
