1 out of 5 stars The Spool is JUNK   September 12, 2007

Unfortunately if you buy this product, you will not be happy. The PLASTIC spool is very fragile and pure JUNK, it breaks easy and often. Once the plastic spool edge breaks, the rest of the line is useless. This product is TOTAL JUNK. They don't even have a place online at their homesite to let them know about how the product works/ or doesn't work.

I do not recommend this product at all, buy something that isn't ENTIRELY PLASTIC!!!!!!!!

If you haven't bought it yet, this is your lucky day; if your have, my condolences. What a piece of junk! I'm an old guy and I should know better but got suckered in on the TV ad. First, it is not a powerful motor and if you're tall, you'll find the handle short which means you need to bend your back through the whole operation. The battery does not last very long. In fact, I've never seen a battery operated device that will work as well as an electric or gas driven motor. I called to send it back and Worx offered to sell it for half price but I'm not a junk collector. Cost $36 to ship it (California UPS) but it felt good to get rid of it. It was a bummer of an experience.

Cordless trimmer works exactly as advertised. The edging function works great. The battery charge lasts throughout the time it takes to trim and edge the yard and recharges within a hour.

This is a great trimmer. I can use it for a long time since it is light. it is not to heavy for my wife. It cuts some surprisingly tough grass and weeds It is low power, but this an advantage since one can cut up close with little chance of cutting the flowers.

Ok folks, I have had several Weeders in my life and this is by far the easiest and best one that I have found for the average homeowner. Is it going to cut down a small tree? No!!! Did you expect it too when you ordered it? Then you need to have your head checked out. The TV ads are right on the money... as long as you don't try and read more into what they are telling you. The only draw back that I have found is that it is not a double line feed system. By the way for the people that are having problems with the line feeding, check the way that you have installed the spool. There are arrows on top that you should be able to see after the spool is installed. The unit is great for NORMAL yard maintance. The lightweight design is great. My wife and 11 year old son love to use the weeder while I mow. Battery life is great also. During our last drought, I did not use the unit for around 6 weeks and the battery that was on the unit still had a charge. Like I said earlier, great for the average homeowner but, if you are Joe Weed-Eater and looking to cut down half of a mountain... then you need to stick to the gas weeder and chain saw.

We'll be adding even more exciting features to assist you in the coming year.
