This product is so easy to use AND extremely easy to put together right out of the box. I have a small back yard but it was always a hassle to wrestle with the heavy cord on my big trimmer. This product makes it super easy to manicure my lawn without having to always plug into various locations around my house. It has saved me time and I have used it several times without having to recharge. I love the telescope shaft and the angled trimmer head piece - very versatile. My wife even likes to use it because it is light and accessible. Thanks Worx and the people who created this easy to use product.
Powerful and easy to use! June 18, 2007 Dave Jones 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
We were skeptical about using a battery-powered cordless trimmer/edger as our most recent one was gas powered. However this trimmer did not disappoint. It is much easier to use than our gas powered trimmer, weighs MUCH less and has several useful features. The edging feature of the trimmer is great and we use it often! This trimmer has a feature that allows it to feed trimmer line automatically so we don't have to deal with constantly flipping it over to pull out more line. We have used the trimmer several times on our medium-large sized lawn and the battery is still going without being re-charged. The DVD that comes with the trimmer is very useful in putting it together and learning to operate it. Definitely watch the DVD before getting started. We are very pleased with this product and with The Worx brand in general.
Just Not For Me June 20, 2007 P. Alderete (USA) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Me again...yes I've recently reviews another trimmer but hey I've been looking hard for the right fit for me, but still this one isn't it. I saw this informercial and it sounded great. What's not to love....lightweight, battery powered, edges and trims, multi-positional. So I purchased it and recieved it in 7 days. It was really easy to assemble! Well, first off, the fully charged battery lasts for 30 minutes (thank goodness it came with 2nd battery), but I found I used alot of that time up during the edging process. I had to keep going over the same spots to get a clean edge, otherwise pieces of grass remained. The other issue was the 10 inch area it cuts is just too small for me as I had to go over and over the area to get it done. I didn't think at first that would be a problem but it was. The self-feed mechanism worked about 95% of the time, it just wouldn't let out the line so then I had to do it by hand which wasn't a big deal but it's supposed to be a "plus" feature. So I think if you have a small yard this should be great but my 0.25 acres needs more power and bigger cutting path.
WORX cordless trimmer July 5, 2007 Mr. William Logsdon (Boise,Idaho) 11 out of 15 found this review helpful
Theoretically a very good idea. In practice, a dud!! Not near enough power, the parts did not fit together well, probably good for only one use. Do NOT purchase one of these. I used mine once and will discard as it is just awful!!!
Not a bad trimmer August 13, 2007 David Caldwell (tampa, fl) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
Don't buy the replacement sppols (orange) they feed continuously and you will run out of line, just refill your black spools, I agree with having a second battery. I have a corner lot, I trim around a privacy fence(both sides), garden areas and the pool enclosure, and edge all the walkways on the lot and the driveway. wish it had a larger line radius, and you do have to let off the power switch to allow the line to feed, it says so in the instructions, went thru 2 black and decker 18v trimmers, the batteries didn't last even a year. I figure I am 85% satisfied with this trimmer. light and easy to use for the wife too
