Flat-Free but Faulty May 11, 2005 Amor Gardener (Southfield, MI) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
After only 18 months, my tire came off the wheel, spilling sealant all over. Stores don't sell the tire separately. After all, it's GUARANTEED.
This is not a universal tire - didn't fit my wheelbarrow May 7, 2007 leafycritter (Atlanta GA) I was unable to try out this wheelbarrow tire because it didn't fit my Ames wheelbarrow, although the product description said it was universal. Later it occured to me that the description didn't include any diameter measurement (only the hub measurement), so I checked the tire and found that it is 15" across. My old tire measured 13", so there's the problem. If the product description had included the measurement, I would have known not to order it.
Wheelbarrow, not Cart March 25, 2008 Gordon M. Verber (Texas USA) The essential thing to note with this product is that it is for a traditional wheelbarrow which has a single wheel. This means that the hub on this wheel significantly extends out from the plane of the wheel. This hub extension (which is not detectable in the 5/8 on product shot, but which would be in a more useful front/profile view) means that the wheel/tire is not usable on wheelbarrow/carts having two side mounted wheels. I bought three. One for a wheelbarrow and two for a cart with the same size wheels, and was disappointed when they could not be used on the latter. Have used solid tires for many years on wheelbarrows. They are worth the extra cost as they will last longer than the wheelbarrow and never go flat. Four, vs five, stars are for the whole 'product experience' (the tire wheel combo itself is a FIVE) as, from the information given, it was not clear that they could only be used on wheelbarrows, and they are more costly here than one would expect.
