love it April 16, 2008 Julian's mom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The chair arrived in good shape. The only difficulty was the assembly. The instructions aren't very clear, but with some patience the chair came together and looks great on the deck.
Beautiful!! April 28, 2008 Lori (Alabama) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I absolutely love these chairs. I bought 2 of them, and the seller gave a combined shipping discount. VERY PLEASED These are fabulous!
Great chair, difficult assembly May 16, 2008 Anna Wright (Tennessee) This is a great chair, especially for its price. It's very comfortable, seems sturdy (I got it yesterday, but I'm sure it will last for years). It's bigger than I imagined from the picture. It fit through my door, but only just. Also, I'm 5'4", and my feet don't touch the ground while in it, so I'd suggest a foot stool if you don't like your feet to dangle while sitting. However, the assembly was a bit frustrating. I'm no handyman by any stretch of the imagination, but it was more difficult than I expected -- but not impossible. I'd suggest having a drill (though if you don't already, don't go out to get one before getting the chair!). The pre-drilled holes for the screws were too shallow, and the wood in places too hard to use a screwdriver only. While trying to drill two holes deeper, two of my drill bits got stuck, and then broke in two. So now I have two halves drill bits left in my chair... Luckily it was a cheap drill that I don't use often! The instructions are also pretty bad. The pictures are tiny and poorly printed, so you have to use some trial-and-error. But they're not impossible to follow.
Tricky ... Sturdy... Big October 9, 2008 D. Morgan (East Texas) As mentioned the assembly is a bit dodgy. The instructions gave me the impression the author was on a strict word budget. My best advice for assembly is not to tighten anything down until you are sure you have it right. A more appropriate description might be "some 'dis'assembly required" as I had to back track several times. But once completed it appears to be a very sturdy piece of furniture. This is a large chair! As mentioned in other reviews. At 5'5 my feet do not touch the floor. All in all very satisfied with the quality.
