1 out of 5 stars Total crap...   September 24, 2007

Don't waste your money. I got rid of the little pests by first finding the hole where they were coming in and cramming it with steel wool. I haven't seen them since. But it had NOTHING to do with this device. I had it plugged in for about a month and they were still coming inside just as often. It didn't appear to even phase them.

4 out of 5 stars Not long enough yet--but promising   October 13, 2008

There seems to be a marked decrease of roaches (the chief reason I purchased this) but there are still some that need to be gotten rid of. When I first got it, I waited till I saw a roach before I turned it on--the roach kinda went nuts--so it does affect them.

Since its been less than a month since I turned it on, I can't say one way or the other whether its totally effective since the product info says it may take longer, but it certainly does seem to be affecting the number of them around. I am seeing less than I used to, and the quiet ticking it produces is hardly noticeable--unless you're listening for it, or the room where it is is absolutely totally quiet.

For the money it costs, this unit is worth a try. It certainly does beat the repeated cost and possible danger of chemical use.

As far as I can tell it's working in the house, I haven't seen any insects. We have never had a problem with insects/rodents in the house because I have always had pest repellers, just not this brand. One of my original repellers quit and I replaced it with the DX610. I liked it and thought it was working so I just put 2 in the garage for rodents but can't tell at present if they're effective. I need more time to make an evaluation. I will say that since putting them in the garage, I haven't noticed any insects.
