Easy to use trimmer July 12, 2007 C. D. Ranney (Leland, MS) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am very pleased with the ease and strong performance of the B & D edger and trimmer (#ST7700). I have both Bermuda and St Augustine grass and it cleanly cuts with out tearing up stolons. I use it on a large bed of primrose and it cleanly cuts the tough runners. In addition to the light weight the handles make it east to switch from trimming to cutting.
like it so far August 23, 2007 Ron Withers (tulsa, okla usa) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
i've only used it 3 times but it seems to be better than others i've bought. it's light in weight and the automatic line feed is working good so far.

Works okay especially for the price. However, it does wear on the hands a LOT and the weeding area could be a bit better. For the price it is pretty good though. Be sure to buy a 50 ft extension cord with it though.
Worked for 3 minutes November 6, 2007 D. J. Breau (Lynn, MA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Black & Decker 13-Inch Automatic Feed String Trimmer and Edger #ST7700 Easy to assemble, light weight, great manuverability.....died after just 3 (approx) minutes. I gave it a few 10 minute intervals to 'rest' after that long workout, finally sticking it back in the box and returning. Got prompt replacement, it's in my garage...unopened. Sure hope I can get a season out of it next year...high hopes. Wonder how good the edger works? Could've used that this past season. I don't recommend this particular trimmer; spend a few more bucks and hopefully you'll get your job done.
Cheap November 6, 2007 Nick in Tempe 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The one I had not only didn't last very long, but while it did work, the power and the .062" string was very underwhelming. If you don't want to use a gas-powered weed whacker, look for the Ryobi electric trimmer with the .080" line.
