4 out of 5 stars Everything good but the display is too small   May 21, 2007

No complain since it does its job as a weather station showing indoor, outdoor temperature and humidity and giving forecast. One possible improvement is the display of the atomic clock is small, I cannot get the time from a distance.

3 out of 5 stars Good product idea, bad design for wall mount   October 8, 2007

I bought this to replace another oregon scientific unit that was dropped and broken. This one has more features, but the small lcd screens make it horrible for wall placement unless you have the best eagle eyes in the world. The outdoor unit does seem pretty water resistant as it sits in the rain a bit.

The thermometer in the main unit is spot on but the outdoor unit seems to read a bit too cold (ie. lower than it really is). My transmission distance is about 15 feet through a rock wall and has always been good. I've been going on 5 months on the same batteries, and no replacements needed yet. I have not tested the range to it's limits, but I have tried 30 feet through the rock wall and it still worked.

the curved plastic of the unit makes it sit pretty far from the wall too unlike the old flush units. I find this a decent value for the cheap price, but I'd say to spend more for a larger and more readable screen from across the room.

5 out of 5 stars This is a GREAT home use product.   December 29, 2006

For the money; you can't beat this. It's accurate to w/in 1.5 of laboratory calibrated instruments in both temp and humidity. You WILL have to wait several hours before the unit achieves equilibrium with the climate it is exposed to. But who cares? On a day to day basis, it is fine for home use and delivers accurate results. I live over 600 miles (line of site) from the Atomic Clock transmission site and synched up in less than 30 minutes.

4 out of 5 stars solid product   April 12, 2007

This product seems to work well at measuring temperature, humidity, and pressure. The remote is able to communicate with the main unit even through one interior and one exterior wall of our house. One minor problem is that it was not able to receive the atomic clock transmission, even though we live in a medium-sized city (I didn't look up the exact coverage areas for the transmission, though). Another issue is that the weather prediction is a bit sketchy. But it only claims to be about 70% accurate, so no big deal. Anyway, I'm satisfied that this product performs its core functions well, and it has been a useful addition to our household.

4 out of 5 stars Thermometer and clock are great!   July 7, 2007

I bought this for my husband for Father's Day. We love the thermometer feature because it tells us both inside and outside temperature and humidity. The clock is also a wonderful feature. The forecaster though - has yet to be right. Many days it predicts rain in the next 12-24 hours and we are 88 and sunny. So, we pretty much ignore the forecaster part and use the thermometer and clock. For $20 it's a better deal than a $25 unit I bought in a store that only tells the temps. I would definitely recommend it and buy it again if I needed something like this!

We'll be adding even more exciting features to assist you in the coming year.
