This machine is AWESOME! As a teacher, I don't have time to go and cut each letter individually on a die cut machine, now that I have the CRICUT, I don't have to worry about that anymore! With the CRICUT, I can type up the whole word, choose the size I want, as well as the style of font and press the "cut" button, it's that simple! This machine is a teacher's best friend and is well worth the investment! I can't wait to buy the other cartridges that are available.

I just received my Cricut for Christmas and I love it. Being able to change the size of the font is great. When you scrapbook a lot you get tired of the same old sizes and fonts. It's a wonderful feature. It's quick, fairly quiet, and so easy to use. I think everyone should get one!!

I had used Sizzix before with many bulky boxes of dies, where you have to hunt for just the right one, and the heavy cutting machine. It was a pain.
The Cricut is absolutely awesome. It doesn't take up much space on my work table and it's so easy to use that I pulled it out of the box and started cutting words without reading the instructions (the only thing that requires attention is when you first put the blade in).
You just put your paper on the sticky cutting pad, hit a button to load, type in your word or shapes, and hit cut. You pull it out and peel your beautifully cut items off the cutting pad. I use Bazzill cardstock all the time and it cuts it perfectly.
Since then I've filled up 12x12s, mini books, and cards with letters, daisies, sliders...you name it! The varied sizing makes it so easy to get exactly the size you need for your project. I used to struggle with titles...not any more!
This is the ultimate gift for a scrapbooker and my husband earned a lot of brownie points when he got this for my birthday!

I haven't used any other personal cutter, so I can't compare them to the Cricut. But I don't think I will ever need anything else because this machine is fantastic. There are cheaper machines on the market, but after doing research, I came to the conclusion that this one is the best. It cuts shapes and letters beautifully and there are so many options it's unbelievable. Anyone who is a scrapbooker would feel privileged to have this item. Suddenly I have become the scrapbooker everyone at my office wants to scrap with, and I think I know why! I really like the bag (sold separately) that stores it. My daughter's teacher also has one and uses it for all kinds of projects in the classroom. We both agree there is nothing more fun that the Cricut!

I have no knowledge of scrap bookie things, and think you are all mad as hatters, but my friend loves the gift.
So, 5 stars for being exactly what my friend wanted and arriving promptly for xmas.
