For Agressive Chewers January 9, 2007 J. Brakora (Lakeland, FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Still the best item out there for agressive chewers. That doesn't mean your dog won't eventually manage to get it ripped apart, but it does take longer than anything else out there. Much better than the Orca toys which only take minutes to destroy.
Love it March 23, 2007 Maureen Sturgis (Ann Arbor, MI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughters boxer who LOVES it. She chews it, plays with it, and carries it around. I have 2 pugs who are not interested. They only play with "plush" toys but, if you have a serious chewer, teething puppy or larger dog that would destroy stuffed toys this is teriffic
Best Toy for chewers August 7, 2007 D. Baunach (Portland, OR United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a dachshund/silky terrier mix. He LOVES to chew the kong and other toys and rope tugs. The large or extra-large black kong lasts forever (well, months). I can fit small treats in it, which pleases the dog no end. 4 instead of 5 stars because it stinks BAD of rubber for a few days.
Great for strong chewers October 9, 2007 Susan (Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the only toy that my lab mix and Bouvier have not tore up. They are both strong chewers and these have held up great. They have had them for a month now and they are still intact.
Best dog chew toy December 16, 2007 Heather (Ellicott City, MD) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Basically, you can use this toy in the way a lot of parents use the TV with their kids. It is a great way to occupy your dog's attention. Stuff it with Kong paste or peanut butter (our dogs' favorite) or other squishy material and treats, pop it in the freezer for an hour or so and wham! Rowdy zoomy pups are entranced with the tasty surprise inside. Freezing it especially helped when our pup was teething, and it makes the dog work harder to get what is inside. Dogs need to chew, and both of ours love to chew this. We have an 85 and a 110 lb German Shepherd, and these are the ONLY toys we have actually had for years. The black ones are much stronger for aggressive chewers than the red ones. The XL works for the 85 lb and the XXL for our 110 lb dog.
