I used to use Fresh Step, but switched to the Petsmart brand to save money. It claimed it was 99% dust free (NOT!). Not only was it not dust free, but when I would try to scoop out lumps of urine the lumps would break apart, and fall through the slots of the scoop. Therefore, the litter would start smelling after only a day or two.
So I decided to give this litter a try and I am HAPPY I did! Not only is the cost reasonable, but it's great having it delivered to my front door. The litter clumps stay together (I just cleaned the litter for the first time) so I was able to get the litter really clean. I put in fresh litter this past Tuesday, and as of today (Sunday) there was still NO odor! I was amazed. I scooped out the clumps only because it needed it, not because the litter box was smelly (which is what usually reminds me to clean it - the odor).
I am very happy with this litter and just ordered more bags.
UPDATE! I ordered two bags of this same litter on June 1st (just one week ago), and paid $13.99 a bag (shipping was free, since I ordered two bags). I had ordered two bags prior to that, at the same price, $13.99 per bag. I loved the litter and left a review saying so.
Now I'm back one week later to order more bags and find the price has more than DOUBLED? What's up with that? It is now $29.99 a bag?
Is this some mistake?
Yes, this is the best litter I've used, but I'm not about to pay this ridiculous price. Especially not when I just paid $13.99 a bag only a week ago.

This is by far the best cat litter I've used. There is very little dust and the cats don't track it nearly as much as Scoop Away, Fresh Step or Tidy Cat. I've been buying it for months and there is no longer a layer of dust appearing on the furniture (just think how happy my lungs are!). But - suddenly the price has more than doubled! I can drive to a local store and pay 13.99 plus tax which is less convenient than Amazon's delivery and until Amazon fixes what is hopefully a pricing error I will do that or go back to the grocery store for supplies. There isn't a cat litter on earth worth 29.99 for a 40 lb. bag. Not even this one.

With very low tracking, little to no smell, and a fairly natural list of ingredients, this is by far the best kitty litter we've tried. We liked the World's Best Cat Litter because it was all natural, but it made our home smell all natural too, i.e., it didn't really mask the odors. We've also tried the Arm & Hammer natural and clumping varieties. But, given the option to purchase A&H, we would actually prefer to pay a little more for this Precious Cat brand. We do agree with the other reviewers that the manufacturer could improve on the bag, but overall this is a great product. Bravo!

As a veterinarian and cat owner I have used virtually every type of litter available from clumping to pine to pelleted newspaper to wheat byproducts and find NONE as easy to use, clean up, decrease odor as Precious Cat Ultra...hands down, no comparison, especially with litter robot self cleaning system!

if you have an automated litter box or just prefer clumping litter, this is as good as any i've tried. granted the large bag is heavy and hard to maneuver, but i just scooped it into 2 smaller bags and had no problems. for the cost and free shipping, i'd say the 40 lb bag is worth it, and with 2 cats i havent noticed any additional smell vs my old brand. personally i like using the cellulose type that absorbs liquids rather than clumps them, just for the less frequent litter cleanouts and "pellet vs sand" scatter control.
