Litter box not all its crapped up to be! February 26, 2008 C. Harmon (New Brighton, PA, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Spent too much for this. Refills needed every 2 weeks- at least. Depends on number of cats! Refills are not cheap and only found at big pet store chains. But I'm not scooping the litter everyday anymore, that is the only good thing about this litter box.
Glad I finally bought one February 27, 2008 L. Swift (Minneapolis, MN USA) I received the Scoop Free litter box about one week ago. It has been wonderful! My cat took to it right away, which is unusual as she can be a bit skittish. I have it in the master bedroom, as the cat won't go anywhere else right now. I don't hear it or smell it! I'm glad I finally did the research and tried the scoop free. I won't go back now!
Great Product March 8, 2008 Clay D. Walker (Temple, Texas) This thing is awesome! It has performed above the my expectations. Ensure you change to trays as directed, but it does a superb job of cleaning the litter box. I have two cats and they both use the box without any issues.
It takes a little time March 8, 2008 H. Levy (Northern California) I have used this box for about six months. My first impression was that it was the best automatic litter box out there. I was wrong. The scooping part is fine, but the cardboard container is not good. I have two cats, one male and one female. After about a week, the odor gets pretty strong and the urine soaks through the bottom of the box. It not only went through the box, but the piece of carpet under it, and the permanent carpet and pad. I wouldn't mind paying the high prices for the cartridges if they actually worked. I'm only getting about a week out of the cartridge before the bottom is wet. As much as I hated the Littermaid's breaking down, and having to spend more time on maintenance, I never had to replace a whole room of carpeting when the Littermaid was in that room. I just ordered an older model LM9000 Littermaid. The new Littermaid "improved" model is the most expensive one yet, and the worst one they have ever sold. That one went back to Petsmart after two days.
The best April 3, 2008 M.C. I have been using this product for about a year and it's saved me so much time and hassle. I only change the cartridge for my cat's box once a month, and it only takes 5-10 minutes to do so. The litter doesn't get all over the house, and the odor is also better than with a regular box. Once the sensor wasn't working quite right, but I wiped it off and it was good as new again.
