This product worked spectacularly well in my house with 6 cats in 2400 sq feet. With two males (neutered) and four females (not spaded) we have had constant problems over the past three years with cats spraying areas to establish territoriality.
We have 10 litter boxes scattered about with 3 or 4 different types of litter (more than the n+1 rule), but this hasn't eliminated the problem. I've tried isolating cats with their own litter box, and although this helps it also didn't solve the problem.
About three weeks ago we installed 6 diffusers throughout the house -- particularly in areas where the cats constantly soiled. The result was almost immediate. They stopped urinating outside of the litter boxes. In only one instance has a cat urinated, and that was in a room we normally have as a cat free zone.
The problems caused by having the second male cat hasn't disappeared. He is socially immature and tends to attack the other cats, but the stress levels for the cats have gone down.
I wish we had known about this product sooner. Other than its cost, which is a problem, Felliway does what it claims and I will be using it from now on and am an enthusiastic endorser.

Beware of other brands - Feliway is what you want. This price is excellent. No need to extoll the virtues of pheromone diffusion, which the other reviews here amply cover.
I will add, however, that mourning for a loss in the household is helped by pheromone diffusion for cats which are sensitive to it. A few cats just don't respond, as is true for most medications and treatments.

This is a product I have used for some time. Our male cat began to spray the furniture in response to other cats who happened to wander through the back garden. I originally purchased the diffuser and fills at the local PetSmart. When I found this 6-pack on Amazon, I ordered it because it provided a significant savings.
We don't have other felines in our yard any more, but the male cat does like to lay on the floor near the diffuser, so I suspect it is a good item to purchase.

Although I read some reviews that were iffy, I decided to try this product. One of my cats (a rescued feral that we have had for 10 years) had taken up urinating in inappropriate places-- most recently into floor registers. Ugh! Cleanup has been a huge problem. So Hercules was going to the vet for the Big Sleep unless we could solve the behavior problem.
The long and short of it that this has done a great job in stopping that behavior. I am using three dispensers near the three locations that he had targeted. Now I find him sleeping just opposite one of the dispensers, a sure sign that this comforts him.
This is my second cycle with this product. The bottles have actually lasted somewhat longer than the company states. It is worth every penny to keep our household sane.
