TurboTax can get away with horrible customer support and an impossible-to-navigate support web page because it has a lock on the market. The product does the job; the user just has to keep from going insane. The final straw was Intuit's total screw-up of It's Deductible On-Line. Ever since Intuit acquired Income Dynamics, Inc., the creator of It's Deductible, it's treated the program like an unwanted stepchild. Try to find support for it on their web page; it's buried. Customers who spent all of 2006 entering contributions and donations into the on-line version will have a difficult time getting access to the data, due to a programming error. Good luck trying to follow the "work-around" they devised. I gave up.

The software only allows you to install the software for one state without paying a lot extra. It is unfair to those who have income in more than one state and have to file in two states. I think it is petty of Turbotax.

I ORDERED TURBOTAX FOR THE "ItsDEDUCTIBLE" PROGRAM, WHICH THE PACKAGE STATES IS "INCLUDED."
IT WAS NOT INCLUDED ON THE DISK, BUT RATHER I HAVE TO GO ON-LINE, REGISTER AND INCLUDE MY NAME, TAX STATUS, AND INCOME ON THE WEB. WHERE THIS INFORMATION GOES, OR HOW IT IS SECURED IS UNKNOWN TO ME. WHEN I TRIED TO REGISTER IT WOULD NOT TAKE THE INCOME INFORMATION AND KEPT KICKING ME BACK TO REGISTRATION. WHEN I TRIED TO CALL TO GET HELP ALL I WAS TOLD WAS THAT THEY ARE EXPERIENCING EXTREMELY LONG WAIT TIMES.
I'M RETURNING THE PRODUCT TO AMAZON...

I have been using Turbo Tax (formerly Macintax) since it first came out.
It is better than all the other Tax Programs.
Macintosh Magazines seem to agree.
State Taxes, at least in New York, you may have to wait for the download because the Program requires approval of NY State, and NY State may make changes effecting the software, which needs to be added.
It is best to run the update feature before submitting a final print out of State Taxes.
Support: In one comment it appears that there is no Mac Version. It appears the comment refers to OS 9 users.
Macintosh no longer supports OS 9, and many software manufacturers including Turbo Tax have dropped support as well.

Amazon had the best price for TurboTax that I could find anywhere, including the Intuit web site.
