I've used this product for 10 years, but never again. We have two Macs, both of which meet the listed system requirements, and it won't work on either of them. Crashes without saving data, blank windows, refuses to download data, etc. I guess I could use the disk as a coaster, but that's about the total value of this year's edition.

If you are smart enough to use a computer and you know English, you can get the PDF forms and instructions and do this yourself. You save nothing using these programs. You still have to supply all the data and read all the instructions. It doesn't cost anything for the forms and they are already written in simple language. If you don't want to read, just go to a tax preparer and let them read to you. Seriously folks. I've used these programs before and they are actually harder than getting the forms and filling them out yourself. Not only that but these programs are buggy and make mistakes a human would not make. And e-filing is a joke. A stamp is 41 cents. And if you are getting a refund just provide the check routing info and they will direct deposit for you.

I think TurboTaxis a good item for filing taxes, BUT it is VERY tedious to use for "what if I do this, or not" tax planning. I would have liked a better way to see what would happen with various possible ways to manage deductions.

As a beta tester for TurboTax I am always amazed how they are able to make it easier to do your taxes year after year. The guidance the software provides is fantastic, simply enter your information and it will ask you additional questions or skips parts. The automatic transfer from last year's data to this year as well as the import capabilities almost puts tax preparation on auto-pilot. There is no reason to go out and have your taxes done if you have access to a computer, this software makes filing taxes fun.(even more so when you are entitled to a refund!)

More graphical than before and It's Deductible is now fully integrated (have to re-enter charity names and addresses) but less cumbersome to use once the data has been re-entered. Definately better than TaxCut.
