Best Business Tax Program February 13, 2007 Frank S. Weiss (Long Island, NY) Once you know how to use this program it's the best out there. I used this program for 4 years and wouldn't do without it.
I bought by mistake: no help with Schedule C Sole Prop. February 14, 2007 GristMillFarm (Frankford, WV United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although I knew that in my state, my new Limited Liability Partnernship income would be submitted on Schedule C, I bought the Business version, thinking it would help me with my first business submission. Wrong. This package does NOT help in any way with Schedule C business expenses: it just refers you back to the Premium edition, which wasn't all that helpful, either (I expected more). I may have to hire an accountant after all.
2006 Tax Cut Home & Business February 16, 2007 William D. Kelly Home portion has a good interview process. I've done 7 different returns for the family all worked smoothly. A couple of the returns had fairly complicated items, all worked great. Also, did my 1120 C-Corporate return. The Federal interview was easy. I have a NOL and Tax Cut handled it properly. The state return had no interview and was slightly more difficult to complete. The program came with one state for home and unlimited states for business.
New Jersey Residents Beware March 20, 2007 Michael T. Longfellow (New Jersey) Do not use Taxcut if you live in New Jersey and are expecting an Earned Income Credit. Bugs in the software mistakenly grant you this credit and file an erroneous return. The State disallows the credit Taxcut gave you, resulting in a bill from the state for the balance. NJ allows the credit only for total incomes of less than $20,000. You may file expecting a refund and end up owing more tax. Unforgivable from a company of "Tax Professionals" like H&R Block.
