Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business August 18, 2008 ouit 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have used Microsoft Money for many years. I ordered Microsoft Money Plus Home and Business to upgrade my current version, Money 2003. If you want to organize your finances in one place and have the power to plan for the future, this is the product for you. The automatic secure online backup and integration with Microsoft Passport are two of my favorite features. Other features include sections for Investing (with live stock price tracking, etc.), Reports, Taxes, and Planning, to name a few. This version of Money is even more user-friendly than previous versions, which were already excellent as they were, in my opinion.
does not work correctly, slow, hang-ups../try before you buy ! September 17, 2008 Michael Lohse 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have used the previous version (2006) , and it worked fine, till MicroSoft stopped supporting online updates.. and foreced me to upgrade/pay again.. I got the trial which has all the functionality of the full version (it says in the startup-screen).. but it simply does not work as the prevoius version. It is very slow in starting up. Freezes up. pretty useless. I have a HP Pentium .1.8GHZ Intel 2GB RAM . Online updates dont work either. Dont know why.. I recommend you try before you buy ! I will go back to version 2006 for now.
Good product August 14, 2008 S. Bouza (Norwalk, CT USA) 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Works well, its cheap. Only comes with 2 years of online support. Keep that in mind. so your going to have to buy it again for it to auto update your accounts. Monthly income/expense report is a great way to see where you stand financially. Lost a star because it only has 2 years of "supported" automated online bank updating.
Don't buy unless you don't care about accuracy September 27, 2008 Sheila (Saint Paul, MN) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a terrible product, mostly becsuse it uses Yodlee software to get its information. I used to use Yodlee (the online version) to keep track of my accounts until I found out that it misses credit card transactions on the day that the account closes. This adds up to a lot of transactions and money spent that is not tracked by the system. I complained twice to Yodlee to no avail. Now I am looking for other account tracking software, only to find the Microsoft Money uses the same crappy Yodlee system. Good thing I am still on the trial version. I wish I could tell Microsoft how lousy their software is, but I didn't want to wade through all their corporate online BS. So, here I am trying to tell any other potential buyers to be beware of this worthless software. I am going to try Quicken now to see if its any better. So far all my credit card transcations show up..so this may be a good sign.
Unfinished business October 19, 2008 G. Ford (Los Angeles County) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
If it had given me the option I would have given the product a grade of "incomplete" rather than the one star. Upon attempting installation I was hit with the dreaded "Setup was unable to install some of the components....try installing Money again". This last bit, about trying again, is evidently a bit of whimsy on the part of Microsoft's tech writers as, if the first try won't go through, neither will the hundredth. The initial fixes found on the chat sites have not worked, yet I haven't given up; it may well work some day. Just not yet. This, from a Money user since 1998; G Ford, Monrovia,CA
