After reading the review of the problems about disk #5 I thought I'd give it a shot since time had pasted. Unfortunately when I tried to install the software I didn't get past Disk #1. I sent an email to technical support, but still haven't received an email back. I called technical support and they told me to go out and buy a disk drive cleaner ($11). I did, but it turned out to be a bad disk. I called technical support again and they said that they would send me a disk, but if I didn't get in by the end of next week to call them again since his computer just locked up. I spent over 2 hours on the phone waiting for technical support and customer service to get no where. DON'T BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!!

After install the DVD edition of Hallmark Card Studio 2008 I get a message "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect." Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
This is a known problem, see there own user forum website. There is no known fix. This is not related to the disk 5 problem.
Not all people have this problem but it is unpredictable and unreparable.

I wished I would of known that Disc 5 would not download so you couldn't use the Card Studio until Creative Homes sent you a new Disc 5 for free. They knew the disc was bad but still shipped the product. Then it was $10.00 cheaper after Christmas which I had to wait until then to download the good disc 5. Not much has changed from 2007. Needs to add newer cards before I buy another one. Mary Jane Heisler

If you want a multi purpose software that will give you a ton of options and fun. This is the one. I had the 2005 vers. of this one and gambled the up grade. Very impressed and glad I made the investment.
The email part of this made sending the ecards a blast and grave me a great deal of freedom to personalize what i sent

I know of some Spanish-speaking people and had scoured the Internet for a card-creating software that allowed me to create cards in Spanish. I finally thought I had found one in the new Hallmark Card Studio 2008 Deluxe. They do in fact have many Spanish cards for various occasions--all except what many of us would consider one of the biggest occasions of the year, Christmas. I emailed them asking where these were, and got a response saying Hallmark offerred no Spanish cards in their software, which isn't true. I finally called and spoke with someone in tech support and asked if he didn't think that a bit unusual that they had cards for every occasion except Christmas, and his reply was, "No, not really." Obviously they want us to go out and buy those, but I'm so perturbed, I'll use my Spanish minor and what I have in my own repertoire to make my own. Feliz Navidad, everyone.
