Upgrade worked with a few serious hitches June 14, 2007 C. Kalpaxis (Queens, NY) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
After installing the upgrade (MS Works qualifies) I installed Outlook Business Contact Manager (BCM), which is what motivated me to buy the upgrade in the first place. BCM features a database import for Excel. After the import I looked in dismay at the fields that were populated in the BCM. So ... I found the 'Delete Database' menu selection in BCM and deleted the database. This action rendered BCM unusable, thereafter. I tried the 'Repair' feature of MS Office Install but to no avail. I uninstalled BCM and tried re-installing but that did not work either. Finally I put in a call to Microsoft email technical support. After a week of email exchanges and suggestions, uninstalling at the Registry level was the only solution. Unfortunately, the instructions from Microsoft did not take into account the possibility that another database existed on the PC. Needless to say, the other database was part of the new POS system being implemented here. So one of these days I have to call POS tech support to re-install their program.
It only gets better July 30, 2007 markbavi (New Jersey) 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
My primary interest in the upgrade was Outlook. I needed a contact manager but didn't want to spend the money or time on ACT!, Gold Mine, etc. This new version offers all the heft and power I need. The upgrades of the other components seem worthwhile as well.

I think it works great June 2, 2007 Mr. Walker (South Florida) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this for my wife's Laptop. She was using Office 2003 and we upgraded her to Office 2007. It is great for her. She is an aspiring writer and she constantly used word count, now Office 2007 has that built right into the status bar. It has a better GUI and frankly I think the new file types will help later on since I believe they are a psuedo web format (Makes file sharing easier). We have not had it that long, but in what little use we have had with it we are impressed. For advanced users some of the features may be hard to find, but for normal users I think Microsoft has done everyone a favor by re-doing all the navigational structure, including a better right-click menu.
