most excellent June 9, 2008 Frederick Z. Gromand (El Paso, Texas USA) not only did i get my product before the due date, but there was a mistake on his part and he was honorable and gave me a better deal then i had requested. you cannot ask for anything better.
Office 2007 is Impressive. June 27, 2008 David Hume Before purchasing Office 2007, I pretty much thought that Word and Excel were had reached their limits -- they did what they needed to do and that there was no real room for improvement. I was wrong. I was so wrong. The ribbon system is beautiful. The UI introduced me to features I never knew about and grouped the features intuitively. The default print view is the perfect size for working on a document. The contrast feels sharper. Calibri is the best font in the world for pretty much anything. The tools for charts are much stronger. The ability to automatically format large documents by type (reports, etc) is amazing. The included templates are perfect and show off functionality I did not knew existed. Excel has been made much more user friendly. OneNote is the best notetaking software in the world. Publisher remains a disappointment. If Office was a family, Publisher would be the youngest brother that is not popular, attractive, good at sports, or musically inclined. Some day they will make access look less like a refuge from early nineties computing. That day has not yet come. Still, it does what it needs to do. Powerpoint turned out nicely. Solid improvements there. InfoPath could use better sharepoint integration. Groove is great if you can train people to use it.
Office 2007 July 28, 2008 J. Kuhr (Upstate New York) I upgraded from Office 2000 at work and Office 2003 on my laptop and after some orietation time, find the product much improved over the older versions. The hardest thing is finding all the old familiar commands, but once I find them I realise there are many more useful functions that I never used in the older versions. All in all, I am very happy with the product, even if it was only for the newer look and feel.
Office review August 15, 2008 Heart4home (Federal Way, WA) Great product and it arrived right away. Installed just fine and it is working great. Thanks!
Huge problem here September 7, 2008 C. F Higgins (Warrenville, Illinois United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased Office 2007 Premium to upgrade my existing Office 2003 installation. Installation went fine, and I worked with the product for a few weeks. Then I wanted to use some templates--and found out that even though I spent a lot of money to purchase this product, IT DOES NOT COME WITH TEMPLATES! You have to download them from MS Office online. When I tried to download the templates (resumes, brochures, etc.) the website finds my old 2003 installation and rejects the newer version, claiming that my product key is invalid. There is no work-around for this, and I have yet to find a solution. In other words, if you have a previous version of Office, none of the templates or online content is available to you. How Microsoft would let a problem like this get through testing is beyond me. It illustrates the incompetence that has become the norm for this organization (check out the Vista disaster).
