Simple Strong Sustainable! October 24, 2007 Martin A Hogan (San Francisco, CA.) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
If you're into surround sound or DTS, you're going to need speaker stands, as most speaker systems don't include them. I like these as the flat black color makes them disappear in the room (choose your wood or metal finish carefully). The triangular base really does a great job at keeping them sturdy (although most speakers made nowadays are bomb proof). Depending on your couch or easy-chair, you can adjust the height (up to four feet-two inches), which many stands cannot do. Also, the speaker wire enters the bottom of the stand and is hidden inside the pole - a very nice little feature for purists. Plus, at less than $30 a pair, its a bargain!
Can't Beat the Quality for the Price October 26, 2005 Thomas M. Mullins (Metuchen, NJ) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I chose these speaker stands after reading all the other reviews of these stands, as well as those of other brands. I'm writing to tell you everything said is true --- these are solid, great-quality speaker stands. They are good looking, the base is nice and heavy and sturdy. They are easily put together (the bracket that your speaker will attach to is a little funky to put together, but nothing major). Finally, for the PRICE, it's not even a contest! These stands are half the price of their competitors, and I can't see how other stands could beat these. You can even run the speaker wire through the stands to hide it from view. A Solid "A" grade. The only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars was the less-than-perfect bracket assembly process...but again, it's no big deal, and these are certainly worth every penny.
WOW! January 15, 2005 S. Wik (AZ) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
These are really terrific little stands! Nicely constructed, sturdy enough that my cats won't knock them over and they look great. Absolutely no complaints possible on these, especially at $23 a pair! Nothing at all cheezy about them. FAR better quality than I expected for the price. In fact, I searched the 'net and found some online stores charging as much as $99 a pair for these exact stands (plus shipping)! I needed two sets so I even got free shipping! $46 for four stands! Considering most stands go for $70-100 for ONE PAIR (just try and find stands for less than $39 a pair and you'll either find they're ugly as sin, out of stock or the shipping is $20+) you can see this is an awesome deal!
It works Great! August 3, 2005 Junaid Manzoor (San Francisco, CA USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Pros: 1. Nice finish and color 2. Excellent price Cons: 1. Does not stand perfectly straight when assembled. Rod is slightly tilted.
Just Plain Speaker Stands February 18, 2006 Jonesey (Joliet, IL.) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Nothing fancy about these stands, which was exactly what i was looking for. After spending big bucks on a hdtv and surround sound the last thing i wanted to do was spend more more on fancy stands. These stands are sturdy, look great, were easy to assemble and very inexpensive. I was concerned they would be made cheaply, but I was very happy with the finished product,
