The goggle were not expensive. They seal well and don't leak. the mirrored lens act as sunglasses, and the optical quality is good. Keep the lens clean and you should be happy with these goggles. they come with variable with nose pieces, but they fit me write out of the box. recommended!
The Best I Have Used May 16, 2008 Vocalion 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have tried several types of goggles. I swim 4 miles per week and these have held up nicely. All goggles will fog somewhat, however, I have found these to fog very little. The eyecups on my TYR's gave me a severe headache after an hour. I can swim for an hour with these with little discomfort. I take care of them by placing them back into the case when I am done. They should last a long time.
Great product, nice value July 30, 2007 E. Lee (Oakland, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Based on the reviews here on amazon and on speedo, I decided to purchase these goggles. I have a small bridge, so it's been difficult to find goggles that fit well. These goggles are great. I hardly had to do much of an adjustment with the nose piece. With my long hair, the bands do not catch strands like other goggles. The seal is wonderful and I had no problems with leakage. I highly recommend.
I expected more from Speedo... July 13, 2008 J. English (USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was impressed by all the positive reviews here at Amazon.com for these Speedo Vanquisher Plus swim goggles. I purchased the reflective gold type. When they arrived, I tried different sizes of nosepieces, which were difficult for me to change. I could not get a tight enough seal to keep the water out, no matter which nosepiece I tried. So I tightened the strap, but this made the goggles hurt. I bought these to replace some TYR goggles (similar to these) that were lost. They had no separate nosepiece; the goggles and nose bridge were all one piece. They were the best goggles I ever had. They had a much wider field of visibility than these Speedo goggles (from what I could tell before the water started leaking). I think it's because the sealing gasket on these Speedo goggles is so small. I am giving these goggles two stars because my wife seems to like them just fine, otherwise I myself would give them one star. She says it is because I have "deep-set" eyes. I didn't think I had that weird of a face, though. I am just a recreational/lap swimmer, not competitive. Also, these "mirrored" goggles are like sunglasses. So when swimming laps indoors, you may find them too dark.
