Works great. Would recommend August 8, 2007 Jeff Bennion (San Diego, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product works great. I was worried after reading some of the other reviews, but after I installed it, I no longer have any concerns. First of all, if you install this into studs and it rips out of the wall, you either didn't install it into studs, or you have bad wood. Either way, it's not the fault of this product. I was lucky because I put it in my garage and the studs are exposed, but a simple $8 stud finder from the store should help you put it in the right place. I also put some 4x4 between the studs going horizontally behind the two bars for added support, but I didn't really feel that this was necessary. I also liked how it locked into place in both the storage mode and use mode using a simple spring pull pin. There were some things I didn't like though. It doesn't come with the bolts to install into the wall. You have to wait for it to arrive, then go to Home Depot and buy the proper lag bolts (I think they were 1/2 or 5/8, I don't remember. I wouldn't go smaller than 2.5 inches long). Then, you have to drill holes in the wall (make sure the holes are significantly smaller than the lag bolts, or your stand will just fall out of the wall). Then put the lag bolts in the hole. It's simple to install and fast. Secondly, I would have liked to have a third support bar above the the arm that holds the bag. The more support the better, especially when you are hanging something around 100 lbs that is going to have force tugging it in different directions. Also, I didn't like how there are extra holes that don't line up with studs. The two support bars have two holes on either side that go into studs, and then there are two more on either side of the rotating arm. These would just go into drywall or nothing and I don't think they would provide any additional support, just leave holes in your wall. Like I said, what I did was put a couple 4x4s along the back of the support bars and then I could drill some more lag bolts into the wall into my new makeshift studs, but that would only work if your studs are exposed, which in most cases, they are probably not. Bottom line, it's a great product and a great price. I would recommend it to anyone. It's certainly better than those stands. With the stands, you can't circle the bag as much, which is crucial.

Umm...you spelled intelligence wrong. Which is always most amusing when someone is mocking the intellect of another person. Way to go, brainiac. Less punching, more schooling.
Bolt broke January 9, 2007 Marlon Wilson The bottom bolt broke a week after purchase, which prevents the unit from functioning as designed; it cannot swing out of the way.
Excellent solution January 16, 2007 T. Merriman (Richmond, VA United States) The only place I could hang my 80 lb bag is in my garage, however, my ceiling is so high that it is unrealistic to hang it from there. I got this, and using the mounting method suggested by "C.H." below, it's working perfectly. I got in a few good workouts this weekend that included kicking and it seems to be very sturdy. When I'm done, I just swing it to the side and it's out of the way. I don't forsee any problems, but I'll update if something should happen.
Heavy bag Mount March 29, 2008 Jacob M. Pia (Hawaii) Great product. Also Be sure You reinforce mounting points on wall with 2x6 boards before mounting on wall. It wont rip out or damage the wall. other than that it works great.
