1 out of 5 stars Be Careful   July 6, 2008

Perhaps I got a defective product but I ended up in the emergency room trying to set up this trampoline. We followed instructions and were very careful but after putting the main pieces together and wrestling the two sides down flat - it sprang up and hit me in the face with a lot of force causing a laceration on my face and a lot of bruising. The instructions do not indicate that this is a possibility. No product this dangerous should require assembly. Be Careful.

4 out of 5 stars Tricky assembly, not too shabby otherwise   May 17, 2007

I suppose it's a little premature for me to review this; we've only had it for a day. But... why not?

I bought this for my two young kids, since I don't plan on ever getting a full-sized outdoor trampoline. Safety factors aside, those things do terrible damage to one's lawn.

So, I got them this one. And they love it. As mentioned in other reviews, it is tricky to assemble; the instructions recommend three adults. I managed to do it solo, but with difficulty and an element of physical risk. I'm not sure if users are expected to disassemble the trampoline for transport, but I have no intention of disassembling it for any reason.

Considering the price, and the free shipping that was in effect when I purchased it, I'd say this is a nice trampoline - especially for kids.

4 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price   April 3, 2008

If I had waited I could have saved $10 as Amazon is now selling this item for $29.99. But that's just my kind of luck. I gave it 4 stars because of the long wait and the pain of putting it together. It may have been a tad easier with another person but I just could not wait to put it together after waiting almost 5 weeks for it to arrive. (I know it says it is shipped between 3-5 weeks but I figured they were overshooting with this estimate as they sometimes do. How wrong I was! It must have come over on a slow boat from China!)
You start out with 4 separated pieces of the frame and put each half together first. It's a little tricky and it takes a wee little muscle power in your arms. Then you need to make sure you have the bands evenly spaced between the leg screws. It works out to 5 bands between each leg screw. The last part, when you put the two half circles together at the lip, was not that hard even though that's supposed to be the most difficult part. (I had a tougher time with the first few steps.) I do recommend another person just for safety sake. It has a nice bounce which is not too firm and not too much give. No problems with rust or anything and it looks to be a sturdy piece. I will do an update as I am going to use this to get my daily steps in and help with my weight loss.

4 out of 5 stars Great alternative to expensive treadmill   April 19, 2007

My 12 year old daughter and I put together the trampoline in a few minutes. I use it for exercise, I watch TV or put on the iPod and run on it. Of course, the kids like to use it to jump. It is lightweight and easy to move around. Highly recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Quite good for the price and for my purposes   September 7, 2007

I would have given the trampoline 5 stars however the instructions for putting it together were not so clear; of course all it requires is pulling the two semicircles in such a way that they will snap and form a circle. However, with the way the instructions were written it got more confusing and when we just went with intuition we were more succesful. Pulling the two semicircles out and stretching them to snap into a circle was quite hard and i had to wait until my husband got home. It was much harder for me to do it by myself; i lack arm muscles unlike him :)
Other than the putting it together part, i am quite happy with the trampoline. I do wish though that the legs would be folding so i could have tucked it away under the bed; although i wonder if folding legs could have been a hazard to the stability of the legs during use.
Overall, i like the trampoline. It is for my little kids (3 and 4 yr old) and since it is a passing fancy it is priced just right for my budget.
