These work great for little kids and a great night time reassurance for break-in's May 8, 2008 Chadly (Arlington, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought these years ago when our son was 2 and we had foster kids. We use them on doors as well as windows. They are great at night when my wife is alone. She feels safer woth these. The batteries have not been replaced for 4 years and they are still working awesome. We turn them on every night. This is alot cheaper than an alarm. We recommend these to everyone.
Not so great March 11, 2008 Magalid (Petaluma,Ca) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this based on the great recommendations and i am dispointed. after just a couple days it has already fallen. So if you et it you will need double sided tape. very irritating. otherwise noise level is good...you would definitely hear it if someone tried to break in.
Added security at bargain prices April 30, 2008 Faye L. Bowring (Tucson, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered four Intermatic Wireless Window Alarms and had no problems installing them on various windows. All four alarms were loud enough for my purpose and that is to maybe scare off the intruder or alert me that something is wrong. I only turn our alarms on when we are leaving the premises, so my battery replacement won't be as often as others who leave theirs set to on much or all of the time. I did use the transparent double-sided tape (it is lined with red adhesive that is to be pulled off before applying tape) which I bought in the paint/hardware department. I don't think the alarms will be falling off even in our desert heat. Make sure you clean the surface well before applying the alarms. Great little alarms for that added protection without spending a lot.
Fell Off Window Within A Week July 28, 2008 M. Sherwood (Dundee, Oregon United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought this was a nice, inexpensive window alarm. If someone jimmy opens the windows and slides it up, a pretty loud alarm would sound. Effective enough for what I needed in this application. The two components stick onto the window with a sticky pad attached to each comonent. I attached these to a plastic double-hung window as well as to a patio door. They stayed attached for less than a week. One falling off in the middle of the night, setting off the alarm. Both units failed. The attached surfaces were quite clean. They should have worked. I I put these on my brothers windows in a town 175 miles away. Tossed the original display container so I can't return either of the units. Would cost almost as much to send them from Seattle and then onto Amazon. So I am out $11. Cheap is just that, cheap. Don't bother with these.
good product June 30, 2008 Henry A (Owings, MD) Good product. Fitted it on our outside shed. Deterent to unwelcomed people. However, it doesn't stick well on all surfaces.
