milwaukee 18v li-ion kit November 2, 2007 J. Brodsky (cape cod) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
These are good tools at a very good price. A couple of annoying things about the kit. The batteries are somewhat difficult to remove from the tools. I was disappointed to find a limited # of tools for these batteries. (I was hoping for a jig saw) The kit I saw at a lumber yard show had 2 different sized batteries, both 18v li-ion, but one was much lighter than the other. This kit doen't have that. The tools are heavy duty and have worked well so far (1 month).

Great set. I like the power and the batteries last a long time. Great set for working on a project
The Good The Still Good and the Ugly August 17, 2008 anteKA (of Manitou Springs,Co.) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I really love this kit... I have over 30 years in the plumbing and remodel trades so I have much experience with power corded and battery operated hand tools. Love the battery charge 'reader', the sawsall really works hard, the circ saw is just fine(The first time I used it, it was so quiet I thought it was broken...) and the drill was OK, except that after less than 5 minutes of actual use, while pulling up a long 1\4 inch bolt and nut on the straight(NOT slip clutch)drill setting the inner gearing slipped\stripped!!! I finished tightening it with a screwdriver. I'm kind to my tools; I know their limits and I respect that. But mabey it's just bad jujukarma; I had a 14v Porter Cable that I sent back three times in the 1st year warranty period (once was the charger), I replaced that with a DeWalt on the third return(Ineeded a Battery Drill 'NOW'), and I returned the DeWalt 3 times on it's 1st year warranty ( once a bit got stuck in the highly touted XRP chuck). So, I figured tha next time I'd go Milwaukee as I've always had their corded hand tools. NEXT TIME I buy a battery powered drill etc., I'm going to the East Germans...I buy these tools for working; I would prefer to use other things for 'checking erosion' in the back fourty... OK,It's about 4 months now after above review. I haven't had the problem reoccur at ANY level of "working" the drill...So, I guess it's like having an arguement with your best girlfriend, and we're back together and I couldn't be happier. I really appreciate this kit, but I'm leaving my rating as is.
Great Set of Tools August 15, 2008 Denny V (St. Louis, MO) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased for use at a school. We have used all tools and are satisfied with their performance. These tools are powerful and perform well. I have one minor complaint. The slip clutch on the drill can not be set high enough to allow some screws to be driven in. You have to switch to drill mode to provide the needed torque. Be prepared to wait if you choose Amazon's free shipping. It took them a week to get this in stock product to UPS for shipping.
