Simple April 18, 2008 Marilyn (Torrance, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure if this would work with my opener, because no one at Home Depot had ever even heard of it (Crusader 200 IL). I just followed the directions and it worked, no problem. Very easy to set up. It's pretty neat that I can also make it work for my mom's garage, too. I went ahead and bought one for each car.
Good little remote May 19, 2008 Edward W. Hulsey (Colleyville, TX USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this unit to be used in a third car. I needed something to open a driveway gate and a garage door. This unit works fine but the range is a little short, plus, the unit is a little picky about which way it is facing. The price is a little high for the quality that you get but the free shipping from Amazon helps negate that some. Overall, it is a decent remote.
Smaller and Easier to Configure than Previous Models May 27, 2008 Rob Prindle (Erie, PA United States) This is much smaller than the older model (CLT1) and supports more openers (it adds support for "purple" learing buttons). It's also easy (if not intuitive) to configure.
Works great with old and new openers June 3, 2008 Samuel Kaplan It took me only 15 minutes to program and test the KLIK1U with a new Liftmaster Elite model 3850 opener and a 1988 vintage Sears Craftsman opener (with 9 3-position slider switches). I only wish this transmitter had 3 buttons, since I have a second vintage Sears opener.
Won't work on some of the old stuff July 2, 2008 L. G. Burnett (Nashville, Tennessee) I have an older Sears/Craftsman door opener and the remote control quit working. The universal clicker wouldn't work, so I ended up replacing the receiver. I'm not certain, but it may have been the receiver was so old that it couldn't be keyed to the new clicker. The circuit board was dated 1979, and it could have been the receiver was originally the problem. I was able to use the universal clicker with the new unit.
