You can imagine what kind of product you are getting when you open the box and the first thing you see is a paper with big print STOP in the middle of a STOP SIGN and then 'PLEASE DO NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT TO THE STORE'. Well, ordered from Amazon, arrived, put on the wheels, plugged it in, no lights on switch. Shook it, punched it, finally lights came on, heated up, reached the optimum temp., then never came back on to heat...punched it, shaked it, lights came on, reached temp, went off, never came back on. Called the MFGR. customer service several times, only could leave message. No one returned phone calls. Finally got someone through email. Would you believe since Jan 6, 2007 when I bought this from Amazon I have received 2 replacement heaters from the MFGR, and each one did not work. However, easy return plan, cut off 3 inches of the cord from the plug, mail it in, and they send you another one. So far, DOA (dead on arrival) for each replacement heater...Maybe will get one that works by summer...

Have one of these in my bedroom and it keeps it warm & cozy. I like that it is totally silent, and that it can be left full on, or at a lower setting, with no concern as far a combustability, or tipping.

But I guess that's how oil filled heaters work. Does not really heat the entire room, but it's cozy to have it near you.

The thermostat would not work to turn on heater when it arrived. Emailed company and have yet to hear back (two weeks). There is no way to service it yourself without breaking the plastic around the dial and probably replace the thermostat. My advice DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!

Ordered this in July from Amazon Friday sale! Now that it is getting cold! I broke it out to find out it does not work. Ordered to long ago for Amazon to help. So I called Soleair they told me to cut off the cord and send it to them with money order for $12.00 to ship the new one to me. Why would I pay to ship a new one to me? The first one should have worked. I would just order a new one from amazon and return the bad one to Amazon. Hmm Amazon does not sell them I wonder why!!!
