There isn't much exciting to say about a replacement spool of line for a weed eater. But the exciting part is I live in a rather isolated area with very few stores close by. Being able to order items online and have them delivered is wonderful. The service is great, the trimmer spool is great.

Fits in the trimmer nicely and works as expected. However, I wonder if I can buy the string in bulk and make one myself to save extra bucks because I run out of these quickly. Anyone had ever tried?

If you're mechanically inept, like me, don't pay any attention to the review that suggests buying line and respooling it yourself. If you try that, I suggest using protective gear when you turn the trimmer on as the spool may unwind for several feet before tangling up, cutting everything in its path including you. (This statement comes from experience!) I've had my Toro trimmer for several years, replace two or three spools every year, and never had a problem with it, or with replacing the spools.
