Great fun, but a few things you should know August 14, 2008 A. Barton (Bay Area, CA) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
They actually work but they take 5 AA Batteries that have to be brand new or it wont work. Also good to know camera is up high and it is mono vision. One of the eyes just flips up and is normal vision. also there are no metal parts, screw on front is black and isn't actually a screw. Otherwise it's an alright toy.
So Much Fun September 2, 2008 Sillyvieve (Boston, MA USA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This toy is awesome. I am an adult and I have never had so much fun. I ordered some for a camping trip and we had such a blast. I have never had a better hide and go seek game ever and it was so much fun just walking around seeing everything different. It comes in two different views and I like it in the black and white over the green night vision setting. Its not heavy or anything and once you get the sizing right for your head your good to go. I don't know how the other person didn't get it turned on, once you put the batteries it works fine. The batteries really is the biggest draw back becuase it takes so many, but I think it is well worth it. My family and friends are all now trying to steal them on me, but I won't let them. This thing is awesome!
A little disorienting at first but lots of fun!! September 8, 2008 darkfire109 (Graham, WA USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I wasn't sure what to expect when I put this thing on. The Eyeclops only lets you see out of the right eye and pretty much blocks your left eye which affects your depth perception so don't think you can drive with your headlights off while wearing these. I did get used to the 'pirate's view' and the image that comes through the screen is amazing. You really can see in total darkness and flipping on the IR 'spotlight' really increases the range and brightness of objects that are closer. These are just as good and costs a lot less than military night vision goggles.
Good for Rat Hunting September 25, 2008 S. Kamensky (New York State) 6 out of 11 found this review helpful
These "night vision" goggles aren't good for much, you can't walk around with them on (you'll trip or walk into something), they're not too powerful (you can't really see much with them on), BUT THEY'RE GOOD FOR RAT HUNTING. I just came back from the best night of ratting in my life (out of countless hunts). I killed 13 rats (I live on a farm) in under an hour (make sure you have a laser sight). With these goggles, spotting living things is quite easy, because their eyes glow. I wouldn't recommend this for kids, it's the sort of thing they'll use once and than leave in the closet, but if you like kill rats, this is it.
EyeClops Isn't As Durable As It Looks! November 12, 2008 Mac McAuley (Alpha Centauri) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles I received the EyeClops just yesterday evening. The two "pins" that hold the rubber head strap on both sides of the face are not very strong at all. Unlike the larger "pin" used at the top of the head, the side pins can not take much pressure before they snap. One of my pins broke just getting the EyeClops out of the package! The other pin broke while my son was wearing the goggles (goggle?), so now BOTH sides do not work. IF these pins were made of metal or at least a larger plastic pin, it may fix the problem. Buyer beware! My EyeClops are going back to the store today!
