HyperDash March 30, 2008 A. Rea (New Jersey) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
A great toy, my kids love it. Just be careful because a child needs to be able to listen carefully to the instructions. Playing with more than four people, you can't always hear. The volume only goes up so high and when played outside, it is very difficult to hear.
Great fun, it didn't break after 4 months September 26, 2008 A. Dent (USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
For any technical details and minutia, I suggest that you look up Amazon's official review because I could not possibly be as thorough or as knowledgeable. Now, this is what I can say from my own perspective: we have 2 pre-tween boys, one 5 yr. old girl, 2 dogs and about a dozen kids living in the neighborhood and showing up just about every day in the summer for the pool and the trampoline. We bought this from Amazon back in May and everyone loved it, including the dogs. So, for most of this summer, whenever they decided to play Hyper Dash, we were having the kids running around as directed, the dogs running after the kids and myself, trying to focus on the stuff I was supposed to be studying (for an exam). Based on other reviews, the game can be played indoors as well. We never allowed it but, as the weather turns colder, we may allow them to play in the basement whenever they get together for some fun. Now, talking about things the kids 'learn'... let's not exaggerate :). Sure, there is a level of the game where the kid has to compute 3-2 quickly but, come on, there's not A LOT to learn. It's mostly physical and that's how the kids play it and it's good this way. They ARE running a lot but do not expect to see better grades in school. What you do not see in the Amazon official review it's the durability factor. I am pleased to state that, after 4 months and, probably 20-30 hours of play, nothing broke yet. I expect the game to be still unbroken after one year.
Fun for a rainy day March 24, 2008 D. Ouimet (Pickerington, OH USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a great toy to get your child moving! The targets can be spaced over a great distance or very close. It is great for working on listening because your child must listen closely to find the number or play a "Simon Says" like game. We are very happy with this game!
Even my two year old loves it! January 1, 2008 K. Bogin (Evergreen, CO United States) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
We bought this game for my five year old son, and we all absolutely love it. Even my two year old can play on the easy level (as can any child who knows his colors). It really gets my kids running around (talk about fighting childhood obesity :). My husband and I get in on the action too. The nice thing about it is that we don't have to LET my five year old win. When he runs as fast as he can, we're all at about an equal level. I would highly recommend this game. You can play in a small space (if mom and dad are feeling tired) or really spread them throughout the house and get quite a workout. We LOVE this game.
loved it! January 18, 2008 Jayjay 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this game for my five children ages 4-15 for Christmas. It is a blast right out of the package! Good for all ages. A great way to get a little brain and body exercise during the cold winter months. The package says that you can use it outside as well, but we will have to wait for spring to try it. It consists of five colored discs about 3 inches across. Each one is numbered 1-5. The handheld part of the game (not sure what to call it--looks like the handle for a stick shift) talks and gives directions for the game. The discs can be placed anywhere in the house (or outside) and the object of the game is to run around madly tapping the correct disc with the handle part which is talking and telling you either a number or a color to tap. Can be played alone or up to four players. It keeps track of who runs the course the fastest and when the game is done it will announce in seconds/minutes which player was fastest. Don't forget batteries for the handheld part. The discs do not have batteries. Lots of fun and highly recommended!
