 Fun for Kids and Adults September 11, 2008

I got this primarily for my two boys, ages 5 and 7. Both of them are avid Lego Star Wars players, so I felt confident they would enjoy Indiana Jones. It was a hit with them. My older son went to task clearing the levels. My younger son enjoys the occasional level run or just toying around with custom characters. With infinite lives, he's free to explore as he likes without a 'GAME OVER' spoiling his fun.
Truth be told, I enjoyed playing the game as well. As an adult I found the game rather elementary. However, the nostalgia factor was there, the humor quite enjoyable, and the challenge level suitable as a 'casual' game.
As a parent, there is some concern that most conflicts in the game are solved through violence (bloodless, Lego violence). Also, the movies have some creepy themes (ritual sacrifice, melting Nazis, monkey brains, etc.), but the visceralness is toned down and often covered up by humor. I think the worst was the smiling monkey head being served with its brain exposed. It sounds disturbing, but just looked silly. So far, no complaints of bad dreams from the kids. Just boyish giggles and 'GROSS!'

First of all, I am NOT a fan of many PS3 games. The 3-D motion gives me a headache and makes me motion sick. The controls for the PS3 are just way too confusing on most games and there are WAY too many buttons. Give me a DS any day and I am a happy camper. But I still loved this game. I am not so sure I would have played through it on my own, but my boyfriend and I spent the better part of a weekend playing through it together. It was great!! The graphics are great on our 42 inch plasma, the game play is a blast and the humor is one of a kind. It is a little short if you just want to play through the game to beat it, but there are so many unlockables and things you have to find. We finished all three movies and we are only 60 percent done. I have never seen an Indiana Jones film, so you don't have to be a fan to enjoy this game. You don't have to be a child either! My boyfriend is 25 and I am 22. I am generally a puzzle game fan and my boyfriend loves shooters like CoD4 and Battlefield Bad Company. If you like any kind of game, pick this up. It is very enjoyable!!

I bought it for my son, who was delighted playing it, and his only complain is that it is a bit short. It is based on the stories of the first three Indiana Jones movies. Graphics are excellent in a HD TV set, as is the sound through a home theater. I recommend this game to any PS3 owner

It's like the older version of Lego's video game: Star Wars Trilogy. Same structure, kind of graphics, etc. But it is fun (as Star Wars version). I would vote with 5 stars but I expected more innovations in this game.
