8 Ball Remembered July 12, 2006 Chandler B. (The Villages, FL) 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
The Magic 8 ball is the same as I remembered it in the 70's. The only thing different is that there is a line/ridge separating the two halves. I guess this was put there to make assembly easier. Overall It's fun to ask questions and see what responses you get. It also makes a great paper weight when I'm not consulting it.
Great Know It All Ball November 1, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This Magic 8 ball is awsome! It really seemed to know the answers. I asked it if it was the best toy ever & it said YOU MAY RELY ON IT! I think it is a very, very cool toy. GO BUY THIS PLEASE! The "Know it all ball" even said you should buy it WITHOUT A DOUBT!

I have one of these on my office desk, along with a slinky and a Mr. Potatohead (yes, I'm a hacker geek). Everyone loves the eight ball, especially the project managers. I'm giving it five stars for education because it teaches you to be a scientist. Even without taking it apart, moderately attentive use will lead you to the realization that 50% of the answers are yeses, 25% are maybes, and 25% are nos. Thus empowered, you must solve a language problem, choosing between polar opposites like "Am I smart?" and "Am I dumb?". It's not only educational, it's interdisciplinary! And given that the eight ball's not much fun without an audience, it also teaches teamwork and laughing well with others. More devoted students of the eight ball derive serious benefits such as realizing that the eight ball is just as accurate as Tarot cards, psychic hotlines, and astrology, but much much more cost effective. ...
I've never had to put my magic 8 ball in the closet. December 2, 2002 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am 11 years old, and I happen to have a magic 8 ball. It is my favorite toy.I always ask it questions like "will I have a snow day tommarrow?" Also, magic 8 balls are very durable. When I was little,I would drop it a lot, sometimes even on hard floors. And it never even broke!
I asked if I should write a review: "Yes Definitely" June 5, 2003 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
O beautiful Magic 8 Ball, you amaze me! I keep it on my desk, and it's a huge hit with co-workers of all ages. All manner of questions "Does Tom smell?" "Will my report be done in time?" are answered with the noble "Better not tell you now!" and "Reply hazy, try again!" Fun for all ages - I had one when I was a kid, then again in college, and now as an adult. I can't get enough! Perfect for the terminally indecisive!
