Fantastic April 24, 2008 Twin Mom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Fantastic buy for the kid who likes to build. May be the best toy we have. We gave this to my daughter for her 3rd birthday, and she has made some great (and complicated) structures over the last 6 months. Blocks are durable (her brother loves to crash into her castles), have no little pieces that will break off, and magnets are strong enough that the structures hold together well. It's one of those few , basic educational toys out there without buttons or noise. (My kids now know that 2 triangles make a square, etc.) It's worth buying the bigger package to avoid running out of tiles.
Best Toy Ever May 15, 2008 Maybelyn H. Plecic (Gurnee, IL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read the reviews and was impressed that many found that their children would play for hours and months. Happily and thankfully, I can say as a mom of 4 boys 6 years old and under the reviews were absolutely correct. I just ordered 2 more 100 piece sets to add to their collection. I would admit that even both Mom and Dad geeks like playing with it too. It is rare that I place a review on items I've purchased, but this is one that deserves high praises. The first night my 6 years old stayed up till midnight playing the Magna Tiles. And he is the one that is usually running around making noise and breaking things. Apparently all it took was the right toy and we can see what we thought was true before. He has an exceptional awareness in building and attention to detail. The rest of the boys, our 3 years old and 23 month old twins are having fun playing with what our eldest makes and they build something as well. From space ships, cars, houses, castles, different designs and such. You can make mazes pretty quickly and they can have fun breaking the design and building it right up. The little ones are still puzzled how they stick together, but they will catch on soon enough.. We love this toy! I highly recommend it to all parents that would like some more peace and quiet or some more reading time. As well as just another alternative to teach children how to build and stimulate their creative side while having fun.
3 yr old & 5 yr old boys love it & continue to play with it May 16, 2008 Fred Brown 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 3 yr old boy & 5 yr old boy love it even after a couple of months. I got the 48 piece dx which they did not seem to like that much. They definitely prefer the translucent to the opaque.
Every child needs to have this toy May 22, 2008 R. Hogan (Madison, WI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you have a child that loves to be creative, this is the toy for them. The magnets hold each piece so well, a child can build without having to place something perfectly. It is the first toy my child plays with when she wakes up and it is the last toy she plays with before bed. She would even prefer this toy to a movie nine out of ten times.
Great for pre-schoolers November 4, 2006 Maria A. Rogers (Juneau, AK USA) They love to build things with these and quickly learn how to build complex shapes which will stay together. The 100 piece pack gives enough pieces for several kids to work with at once without too much fighting for pieces.
