Great toy! October 2, 2004 Stacy Vicknair (Baton Rouge, LA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
If you've defeated the rubik's cube (3x3x3) then this is the next logical step. Not too much harder than the 3x3x3, but more fun! Only problem is the stickers wear off easy, but you can purchase replacements from the rubiks website.
Good but not so Good December 21, 2006 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I love rubik's cube I myself can solve a regular rubik's cube but not the big one the problem though is the stickers they peel off about the second day that you use it they need to go back to the way they did it in the eighty's paint that way I don'y have to buy a new one every time a sticker falls off
Reassembly May Be necessary February 5, 2006 Mr. B. J. Griffin (The World) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This puzzle (also known as Rubik's Revenge) is good fun - and because it has another layer of movement, it is much more likely to fall apart than the 3x3x3 cube. However, the puzzle of reassembly is also quite fun - and requires no force! A clue to reassembly - make sure that the last two pieces are the same colour edge pieces - and they will (very gently) snap into place. A second clue: only the centre pieces (four flats pieces on each side) fit into the grooves of the ball - be gentle, and your cube will be as good as new. Start with the four centre pieces of one colour at the bottom - and build up the cube layer by layer. Remember! No force!
Rubik's Revenge! October 7, 2005 Jimbob (Missouri) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
A pretty fun cube this is. I disagree with some people, and think it is harder than the original cube. If you don't like the 3x3x3, you probably won't like this one. So far, mine has held up well. I haven't noticed any problems, and haven't snapped it to pieces yet. As long as you don't speed cube or make wild, reckless twists, it should hold up as good as the original cube. Overall, it's a really good puzzle. Fun to just mess around with, and can be used as a stress reliever..or stress inducer. Buy it if you want it! That is all.
Be a Sherlock Holmes, and keep going strengthen your Mind November 2, 2005 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I believe that this cube may hold the answer to one in terms of one finding a good game which does not promote bad competition. Chess, Checkers, Bingo, Poker, American football, Rugby, hockey, squash, Domino's and others are games that pretty much just promote bad competition. People may disagree, but i have played Chess, and even though the game is stimulating playing with people is not the best in the world.Chess has to many bitter people... (But back to the cube) One can mix the cube and then set yourself on a course in solving the it (Rubix cube). No one is rushing you, and you are not in competition with anyone else but alone by yourself and thinking and thinking about finishing it. Keep your mind challenged and young with a puzzle that will take you to different levels and angles of intellectual thinking. Grow intellectually/mentally with a good clean toy that promotes growth in the good way and not with bad experiences. Yes, be your own Sherlock Holmes and solve the mystery, and get all colors to match on your item. No rushes, no hate, but all winning at the end at your own pace but solving the mystery to this cube. Even if you don't solve the piece, keep on trying and trying, and always get your mind to think always-that is also another goal.
