Fine for a little wading pool September 5, 2007 Heather R. Coxon (Connecticut, USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I agree with the other reviewer who mentions the doctored photos. It's so true. The box shows multiple kids on the slide part, with others around the pool. My peanut sized 2 year old barely fits on the slide, let alone other kids. It's small. But, for a 2 year old to get her feat wet and splash around in, it works. I also agree with the reviewer who says the sprinkler doesn't work that well. It sprays upward in a spout (like a whale's spout, which is the idea) but it doesn't do a good job of keeping the slide wet. You have to readjust periodically. We leave it off. Overall, it's better than standing out in the yard sweating, but my 2 year old still has more fun running through the garden hose water...
Lots of Fun for Little Kids March 31, 2008 Diana (apo, ae) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
First of all I think the age range on this product is totally off, because a child over 5 would have a hard time playing with this product, the pool part is the size of a standard baby pool. However, we got this for my 2 year old birthday and she loves it. It is the perfect size for her. I have a 5 year old as well and although she has fun on it, she is a bit big for the pool part. Like I mentioned above unless you have an really small older child I would not reccomend this to anyone over 5 or 6.
Nice but smaller than they lead you to believe July 6, 2008 Lantana Al (Lantana, TX USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Nice pool for the price but like others have said it is definitely smaller than the photo on the box. I have uploaded some photos that give a better indication of the size. Just be aware of the size issue! My 1.5 year old likes it reasonably well. I think it would be good for smaller children (maybe up to 6?) with parental supervision but not for older children even though it says "3 and up". Hooking the hose up for the spray doesn't work very well due to leaking, I suspect that is because we have no washer in there. I'm not sure if it came with one or not because it may have been accidentally thrown away with other material that was accidentally thrown away... but I think it definitely needs a washer. Also, it could be more durable (heavier plastic) but for the price I can't complain too much. It does come with one repair patch. If it lasts one summer then I think I got my money's worth.
5 Stars for Children UNDER 4! June 7, 2007 A. Durante (South Florida) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
LAME for children over the age of 4. The manufacturer's box says for ages 3-12 and the photos associated with this product are very misleading. I have a 2 1/2 year old who had a blast sliding down the slide but for my 5 year old, who is average size, it was lame. The manufacturers photos show 4 children, 3 of them have to be at least 8 years old. My 5 year old wasn't interested after seeing how small it was after putting it together ... I highly doubt I could get a child older than him near it! As far as the photo advertising 2 older girls sitting comfortably in the pool with plenty of room to spare ... not a chance! There is just enough room for my two little ones in the pool area. When my son sits at the top of the "slide" his feet almost touch the water. Was hoping both my kids would be able to enjoy this throughout the summer ... very disappointed! Great for small children. Recommended ages should be 2-4 years for sure!
Quite a Catch!!! June 30, 2008 Laurie Alvarez (Texas) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After reading the various reviews here I had no idea whether or not to proceed with the purchase of this pool for my two year old daughter. Finally I decided to take a chance and hope for the best realizing all along that, folks, inflatable pools are not meant to last more than a swimming season. That is definitely reflected in the cost of the pool. Another concern I had though was about how many children would be able to play in the pool at a given time because we were planning to use this pool at my daughter's birthday party where there would be several five year old brothers as well. Well, long story short....this pool was absolutely perfect. Both of my kiddos (ages 2 and 5) were able to play in the pool at the same time. Now granted neither have room to do laps, but their idea of fun in a pool such as this is to slide and splash and get wet. Even if the box's picture is misleading on size, don't let that seal the deal on your purchase because this really is a great little pool for the money. Keep in mind that this is not a "swimming" pool so much as it is a slide and splash pool. At one time there were four little girls from 6 months up to 4 years playing happily in this pool at our party. Occasionally a couple of five year olds would throw themselves down the slide making for splashes and screams and yet there was no fussing...just squeals and smiles. Y'all don't judge a book by its cover and miss out on some good backyard summer fun in this pool. As long as you keep your expectations realistically based, you and your kids won't be disappointed! I am definitley glad I gave it a chance!!!
