 My daughter LOVES it, and the website! June 28, 2007

My daughter saved up her allowance to buy this. I thought it would be a total waste, but she LOVES it! In fact, we have had to limit her time on the website because it's all she wants to do. My daughter is 6 years old (going into 1st grade) but reads at or above a 4th grade level. That said, she has very few problems navigating the site on her own, but a non-reader would probably have difficulty and need a considerable amount of adult help.
At first, she would get frustrated at how expensive everything was and how little Kinzcash she had, but then she discovered the "Today's Activities" section. There are several "games" there that require no skill whatsoever and you get free Kinzcash (and food, or other stuff) just for clicking a button or 2.
There are a lot of games in the arcade that are too hard for her, but there are lots of games that are pretty easy too. Overall, she loves it and is saving up her allowance to get another one.
I am a little concerned about the durability of the stuffed animal itself. On the very first day, a few tufts of fur came out of the ears. It may have just been loose from the start, because I haven't seen any more loose fur since then.

My daughter saw Webkins on the NBC Today show and had to have one. She now has six. The games are cute and she loves taking care of them. She likes making her cow ill and he turns green, gets an ice pack on his head and we both laugh. She has bought them pools and trampolines. It's very charming.

Seller of the item was 100% legit, tag was attached and NOT used. We had no problem creating an account.
My daughter got the first LilKin in our house, so naturally her younger brother wanted one too. He desperately wanted the Chihuahua for his birthday, which we could ONLY find on Amazon. Hallmark and the other stores had already "moved him out" to make room for new releases.
But the stuffed animal is hardly even the point (though they do play with them). The website is excellent and an SAFE introduction to the Internet and online concepts for children 5 or 6 (younger if Mom or Dad sit side-by-side).
Obsessing over purchases of beds, decorations and furniture for a virtual animal doesn't teach much about moderate materialism but does teach economics and the concept of EARNING one's money. We've had to restrict big sister from earning little brother's money FOR him - he's got to do it himself. Sure beat bang-bang shoot 'em up and blood-and-guts!

My daughter loves the whole Webkinz concept and overall I am very pleased with the quality and content of their product. My only gripe would be their downtime each night, which causes me to miss some late night Cash Cow playing :-)

This webkinz is so cute,but the code received with the dog would not let us register, it kept saying code was invalid. I bought the dog new so the code should have been good I have emailed everyone I could think of so we really just have a little stuffed animal. My granddaughter was disappointed because she already has 2 others and knows how much fun they can be.
