Super tough truck! October 26, 2006

My 3 year old son received this as a Christmas gift last year and he loves it. He explores outside and collects things from the yard and hauls them around in the truck. Must say the truck is durable, it stays out on the deck and the weather doesn't effect it. We hose it down to clean it, no issues there. Highly recommend!

The trucks (I ordered two) were a great hit with my two and five year old nephews at Christmas. They want to play with them constantly. I'm am positive they will provide many years of fun and will be one of the treasured toys of their boyhood as the large Tonka trucks were for my son.

I love this item it was more then I expected. I was glad to find it on the web. I get tired of looking in stores and not finding what I want, then I come home and find everything on Amazon.com. In the future stores can close up as far as for me shopping in them. It is hard to find good boy toys that make a kid use his imagination. I have two new little grandsons and bought each one the tonka truck and loader, and they loved them. Come Spring we are building them each sandboxes and I can not wait to play with them (if they let me)

We purchased this truck for our 2 year old, who loves push toys and trucks--this seems perfect. But I agree with the other reviewer who said it is dangerous for kids under 3. A toddler who isn't very coordinated can end up hurting themselves with this truck--ours has fallen into the back a couple of times while pushing it around. It is very well constructed and sturdy--but falling onto metal hurts a lot more than plastic. We are putting it away until he meets the recommended age of 3. I know many parents ignore age guidelines (we do sometimes, as we obviously did in this case). I wouldn't buy it for someone who isn't close to 3 years old. But it is a great truck and our son will love getting it back when he is a bit older.

I purchased this for my 2 year old son, it is a safe product and he just loves it! Like many children he is fascinated by dump trucks and he plays for hours with this very durable toy.
The manufacture recommends this toy for children who are 3 years old, however it is safe for younger children.
