Every boy MUST have one November 11, 2006 Fairhope Book-lover (Fairhope, AL) Hands down, the best toy for a boy. It's tough, it's cool, and it is so much fun for my 2-year old. He will get years of use out of this. Still looks brand new after a year in the dirt!
A Fun though Large Toy! November 21, 2006 MelMom (USA) My son received this truck as a gift for his second birthday. He is a huge truck fan and was thrilled. It is large enough for him and his 8 & 5 year old siblings to sit in. It is also easy enough for him to maneuver around the house, even with someone sitting in it. I love the fact that the wheels don't make any marks on the floor either. The only con is that it is really large and hard to store indoors. Even with that. . .a great gift for a truck loving boy!
Little Girls love it too! October 18, 2007 Heidi J. Ruybalid (La Plata, NM United States) I got this truck for my son for his second birthday (he will be four next month) and he as loved it since day one. I am now having to buy a second one because my daughter, who will be two in January, loves the truck as much as her brother, but they can only share it for 20 minutes or so before a fight breaks out. I normaly refuse to buy two of the same toys, but this is such a well built, well used toy that I am breaking down and getting it anyhow.
my twins love it! November 3, 2007 engk916 (New York, NY USA) i was thinking about getting this for them for christmas, but i caved and just let them play with it. this toy is incredibly well-made - comparable to a $55 bruder dump truck that i was also considering. then i realized my boys would kill each other over one truck, so i ended up buying two of these tonkas. all the other reviewers are right, this truck is built to last and can withstand the abuse. one other thing, i saw these trucks at toys r us for two dollars more than the amazon listing, and bought it there because it had the bonus hardhat and sand tools that someone else mentioned.
Tough and Sturdy November 19, 2007 Lanfear I bought this truck for my three year old after the one he had died. He had a CAT that he managed to destroy in about two months. He and my two year old like to push their trucks around the yard and house. He has had a smaller plastic Tonka dump truck since he was one. I knew I wanted another Tonka brand because they are so durable.
