Most WONDERFUL Doris Day movie ever! December 2, 2005 Heather A. Guymon (San Antonio TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This brings back SO many memories for me. As a child, my grandmother and I would watch musicals such as Calamity Jane, Tammy and the Bachelor, Oklahoma, and Showboat...however, this movie stands as my ALL time favorite...I fell in love with Calamity Jane at the young age of 8 or 9 and she will forever remain in my heart and mind a symbol of comedy and humor. This is a most recommended movie for all of you classical movie lovers out there. It just doesnt get any better than this!
A Doris Day movie you will watch over and over! January 14, 2007 Elizabeth Heart (Utah, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I am a fan of all the Doris Day movies, but this one is my favorite. Its just the right mixture of humor, love, and music. You will find yourself singing along with most of the songs because they are so much fun. Doris Day is very funny as the rough and tough Calamity Jane and Howard Keel is an excellent Wild Bill Hickock. If you are a fan of musicals or Doris Day movies then this is a must have! The entire family will enjoy this one.

I purchased this movie for my 16 year old beautiful daughter who loves musicals. Her favorites are westerns. She has watched this over and over. She even took it with her to an academic met.
YOU WILLL NOT FIND THIS MOVIE A CALAMITY! June 6, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
EXCELLENT! Keel and Day what a combo! You won't see your typical Doris Day...she is a rough, shooting, tomboy! I love when William Keel and her fall in love! Add to your library!
This is Day's best musical! December 21, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved this movie because after only 1 viewing, I could sing the songs. This movie has become my favorite Doris Day film and is in my collection of favorite all-time films.
