I,ve seen this movie 4 times.I live in Canada and we have abunch of very talented aboriginal actors. Michael Greyeyes is one of them. This movie was sad and thought provoking. Movies like Crazy Horse give a clear picture of our not too distant history.
It did not do justice to Crazy Horse ... but what does? May 1, 1999 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
They could have made much more of it. The standard stuff focusing a lot on the battles, Fetterman, Little Big Horn. It portrayed Chief Red Cloud as a kind of villan, not true whats however. It also put Chief Sitting Bull in the shades. No, not authentic at all.I would suggest that people who are interested read the quasi biografy Crazy Horse, The Strange Man Of The Oglalas by Mari Sandoz and The Killing Of Chief Crazy Horse by Robert A. Clark.
Loved the movie! October 30, 1999 PMasin1784@aol.com (NJ) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I thought the movie was excellent. Michael Greyeyes was wonderful as Crazy Horse, and I found the movie to be very realistic.
