it was too hard. April 23, 2005 Feisty (Bay Area, CA) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
The movie was good, making you want to buy this DVD to learn the dance move. I think it was a great instructional video, but it went by too fast. It took my sister and I hella times to get it, and we are easy to learn dancers. It's just that if you want to learn the moves slow, I recommend buying the VHS.
Movie Great - Dance Video NOT July 13, 2004 BBoy Nick (Hazelwood, MO United States) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
I first watched the You Got Served movie and loved it. I love hip hop dancing and break'n and this movie rocked. It was a high energy movie. I loved the movie so much that once the You Got Served Take It To The Streets Dance Instructional Video came out, I had to have it. The Dance Instructional Video sucked. It is not for beginners. It is very fast paced and you have to do alot of rewinding to follow along. Dance video shows some routines they do in the movie but do not go in depth or break it out by steps. I was very dissapointed and feel that a better dance instructional video could have been made!

Join choreographer Dave Scott as he teaches you all the hot moves from the hit film You Got Served! Special DVD includes interviews with the cast and crew of the movie, Freestyling with Marques Houston and Omari Grandberry, "Ticking, Waving and Freezing" featurette and more. 67 minProgram: 1. Introduction and Warm Up 2. Instructional #1 (Semifinals routine) 3. Instructional #2 (All-girls crew routine) 4. Shane Sparks: Underground (Tips and B-Boy battle) 5. Fundamentals (Ticking, waving, freezing, posing) 6. Instructional #3 (New routine) 7. Dave's "Good-Bye" & Freestyling 8. Credits Features: 1. Freestyling with Marques Houston and Omari 2. Interviews 3. Jump to the Music 4. Jump to B-Boys and Krumping with Shane Sparks Strong points: The film's soundtrack provides the music, instructions are well-articulated and demonstrations are shown from different angles so that you get down the idea of every move. Weak points: The following features are nothing more than parts of the program repeated: Jump to the Music, Jump to B-Boys and Krumping with Shane Sparks and one other. The absolute hottest routines from the film (like that at the beginning with Boog and his boys poppin those pelvises) are not here. :(

The "you got served" movie was awsome i loved it so much i bought it.. So i thought i would buy the "take it to the streets" too but when i saw it it was the most dissapointing clip i have ever seen. it had 2 short routines from the movie, a little interview thing with breakdancing and krumping, and their "hot & new" routine that wasnt even that good. i am a b-boy and i do a little bit of hip-hop and believe me there are better things to waste your money on than this
This movie aint nothin but a thang January 17, 2005 Carter Simcoe (Little Rock, AR) 8 out of 26 found this review helpful
This movie is hot, before I watched it I was always gettin served by the other guys and girls on my block. But now that I know how to dance just like in "You Got Served" I am servin them fools up left and write. Whenever I walk down the streets peoples gettin served, 'like wow'. Whenever I order fries at the Burger King peoples gettin served, 'like wow'. Whenever I see my baby's mamma peoples gettin served, 'like wow'. I'm talkin all the time, for real, I served this one fool up so much last week he still served. BAM.
