It's a great company for a romantic weekend at home April 21, 2000 nailafzv@cbn.net.id (Jakarta, Indonesia) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you like a different kind of love story, you'll love this movie.Tim Hutton is always the best. And the song "We've never danced" is enough to make you cry.

My Favorite For 15 Years July 10, 2001 Amanda Hancock (Ketchikan, AK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have cherished this movie since I was nine years old. I finally bought it about a week ago. It is beautifully made, supremely romantic and fascinating at the same time. It gives an image of heaven that we all would love to believe. It makes you believe in ever-lasting love and the goodness in the hearts of others. I will always love this movie--it holds a special place in my heart.
Refreshing Way of Looking at Things That May Be True... August 15, 2001 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I saw this movie a number of years ago and I am so glad that Amazon has it. I need to add it to my collection which is a small specific collection. You know what I find almost as amazing as the concepts of this movie explaining life, death and birth? That as I read some of the reviews, the confidence (these being professional critics) that this couldn't possibly be true in any sense. Therefore they use words like cheesiness to desribe it. Which makes me ponder hey they do they have the inside track on the big questions of life, death and birth? Well, as sarcastic and confident as they seem to be they must know for sure the answers about life, death and birth. At any rate they wrote those reviews as if they know all the answers. But I wouldn't trust them at all. With all of our technology as it grows each day we still find these questions a mystery and no one knows for sure. The film is not predictable in the writing and the answers its poses to us are quite interesting. For my money its worth it, its not the typical commercial endeavor. And it gives us as human beings who all ask these questions even with our confidence and sarcasm as chance to feel and think a bit differently.
