Original and best: Quick & Effective; Deserves cult status October 28, 1997 As often happens with an exceptional entry into the 'creative' market, this videotape is unassuming, clearly modest with no ridiculous claims or expectations of becoming the hit it obviously became. (Now "Buns of Steel" is a trademark sporting several subtitles, which doesn't stop another trademark from having Buns of Steel as a subtitle.) This tape spawned the market, and it is (...at least one of...) the best of its kind.If you are looking for an exercise video that will have you using it despite how difficult it is, how silly you feel, and how long it takes (at 50 minutes it may be the longest straight video like this) this is the one. It's tough. But you find yourself going ahead despite how hard the work is. DON'T GO FOR A SEQUEL FIRST! look for this one (now called "Buns of Steel: The Original" - make certain it has Greg Smithey!) END
old faithful August 17, 2000 I've owned this video since 1990, and I always come back to it. Yes, it is dated. But it's worth it. There's a reason it's still around!
Ned Flanders likes them buns February 22, 2001 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a good workout tape and definitely helps improve your butt and theighs. But you have to get over the annoynces of the cheesy 80s music and Greg Smithey (aka Ned Flanders).
A Real Challenge August 15, 2002 Grace receiver (Colorado) This video is still one of the hardest I've done. If you lay off of it for awhile you will have to work back up. I was sore just doing the warm up the first day! It is a great overall workout, with a focus on the buns and legs! I agree, it is easy to follow which is good since it can be tough.
ONLY FOR THE SERIOUS TONER July 6, 2003 I have had this video since 1990 and today, the video got caught and destroyed while rewinding. I was TOTALLY devastated because this video is what I rely on when I am serious about toning. It really is excellent. I am bottom heavy and whenever I need a BOOST, out comes the tape. Mr. Smithey is a very sweet gentleman but when you have heard him a multitude of times, it is time to turn the volume down and put on your favorite music to tone by. I can assure you this video will be among your favorites.
