5 out of 5 stars The Best   December 28, 1998

I am so glad I was able to find this video on amazon.com. I have searched high and low for it since my VCR ate up my tape. I lost 30 pounds easy by exercising to this video 3x a week. It didn't take long either. I highly recommend it and praise amazon.com for carrying it online! Not only is Greg Smithey down to earth, he explains how to hold your posture while doing the exercises. This is very important to ward off injury. The people exercising with him are not glamourous (sp?) people either. They are Just like you and me.

5 out of 5 stars Effective (you can feel it) and fun.   June 3, 1999

This seems to me to be one of the best thighs, hips and buns workout. Proof is, if you are out of shape, you can certainly feel the "burn" the next day. The secret is not to overdo it at first and increase repetitions as you feel you are able to. After about 2 or 3 weeks of workouts, you can follow it without skipping a move just fine!!! The one drawback that I can find is that the repetitions are uneven from left side to right side. Also, Greg Smithey, although a very likeable person and fun to listen to, sometimes takes too long to explain how to hold a certain posture. Although this is very important for safety reasons, the explanations sometimes take longer than the actual excercise. This can get boring after listening for instructions once or twice. I fast forward these sections. Overall, a great tape that I keep going back to, even after not taking the time to do workouts for a while. The 45 or 50 minutes seem to go by fast and I feel wonderful about myself when I finish!

I love this video. While losing my 63 pds. of "baby" fat I worked out to this video. It's fun...and covers more areas than the buns. I've worked out with other tapes, and even bought a weight machine. All of them are dusty.I keep coming back to this video... because it works.

5 out of 5 stars The only butt routine i have found that really works!   July 6, 2006

I accidentally gave this tape away and now am going to buy a new one. I wanted a DVD so I tried the newer buns of steel DVD's, but none of them do the floor work outs. Greg gets you on the floor to really target all kinds of muscles in there that you didn't even know you had. And he makes sure you are in the right position and understand the move before starting each one. All the other DVD's just have you do squats and lunges over and over and it can be rough on your knees and they go fast without concern of tequnique or injury. Each one of Gregs exercises is unique and does not hurt your back or knees. I am an athlete, and let me tell you this video will give you above and beyond what just rigourous excercise can do. It gives you shape, form and reduction of cellulite in those very difficult areas! And greg is not annoying, at no time do you want to slap him like those peppy ladies. He is nice and encouraging

5 out of 5 stars 11 years and still counting!   June 15, 2001

Buns of Steel with Greg Smithy is one of the best workout videos on the market. I have been using this video since 1990 and it really targets and tones your butt and legs! The aerobic part of the video is very basic and anyone at any fitness level can do it. Before starting the toning section, this tape has a segment on toning your arms and chest then it also has a segment at the end of the tape that works your abs so it's an overall body workout!
