Life Changing February 22, 2000 Sharon Young (USA) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
This video series was instrumental in my coming to Christ for the first time in my life! After seeing these I could no longer deny Jesus' love! Instead of the fire & brimstone God I always heard about growing up, this video shows Jesus as the joyful & loving God that I now *KNOW* HE is! Bruce Marchiano's portryal of Jesus touched my heart so deeply I wish I could thank him personally.Don't miss this one!

Visual Bible is very INSPIRING April 28, 2000 DXSammy (United States) 20 out of 21 found this review helpful
My love for Jesus Christ has grown even more after I watched this video. It touched me how Jesus was portrayed as a happy, outgoing type of guy. The 4 Video series did an excellent job of copying the Matthew Gospel word for word. God Bless the makers of the video, and God Bless Bruce for an excellent job of portraying the Son of Man as a caring teacher, loving master, and a merciful savior. Take my words for it, this video is very inspiraitonal, you will not regret it.
A 'must see' film!!! October 6, 1999 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
The Visual Bible's "Matthew" was the best film I have ever seen on the life of Jesus Christ. Not only is it word for word from the scripture, the portrayal of Jesus is absolutely wonderful. The film shows us a Jesus who laughs, loves, smiles and weeps. Jesus is shown as a real person, but the film leaves no doubt about His divinity. This is not some somber, aloof Lord no one can relate to, but a vibrant, exuberant Son of God! Thank you Mr. van den Bergh for having the insight and courage to break away from the traditional portrayals of Jesus! Thank you Mr. Marchiano for the excellent job you did! I sure hope that we will see more of the Visual Bible.
Oh to see the Master smile! November 2, 1999 Andy Dodd (lighthouse33@earthlink.net) (Tennessee) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is a master piece of Biblical movie making. "Matthew" should in no way be confused with Hollywood productions such as, Jesus of ..., or The King of ... This movie is even more incredible on DVD, the scenes can be easily jumped between, and the sound and video quality are rich and vibrant. Oh the joy of seeing Jesus smile. This is not some emotionless, prozac, Jesus, this is a smiling, joyful, powerful portrait of our Savior. "Matthew" would be a great part of any Christian minister, or lay persons library.
