This is perfect for putting your PSP in and then tossing it in your bag. However, unlike the Otter Box for the iPod, this does not protect against shock or water. Also, the PSP slim has a little jiggle room in the case so be careful, perhaps add something else for more padding.
The downside is that you can't use the device while it's inside, even if the lid is open. The charger jack is available, but the headphone/audio output jack is not. All in all, it's worth getting if you want something to hold your PSP while you're traveling about town.
The other protective (and perhaps more important) gear to get is the screen shield which protects against scratches.

detour
I travel a lot so for the longest time, I was complaing about how I wish I have a less bulky and lighter case. Well, one day I was having lunch with my gf and we got into a fight about something stupid as usual.. I got so mad I threw the PSP against concrete. The Logitech case was all messed up but the PSP was in perfect condition. If you want something that will protect your PSP, you can't go wrong with this one!

This is the best psp protector that you can find, because you can protect your psp while playing it at the same time. I got this not to long ago after i purchased my psp and i thought it was great, its cheap and strong too, the only thing is that its kinda big so if you have tight jeans its alittle hard to fit. Definatly if you need extra protection for your psp i recomend this item.

This case is the absolute best for the older model PSP 1000 (the thick one). Not only is it visually pleasing due to its sleek, minimalist appearance, but it withstands all kinds of wear and tear. I took my PSP to a deployment to Iraq in this case, and it kept out all the dust and withstood being thrown around in my baggage.
I highly recommend the purchase of this case if you want top-notch quality and protection. And, of course, to those of you who got the new PSP 2000 (slim), get the newer version of this case. You won't be disappointed.
