5 out of 5 stars Great Game   December 9, 2005

I got this game a few days ago and had never ever played the first(just wanted the 1st one). This game is great since you can slowly do things wiothout taking up most of your day, do a little here, a little there. So here's my look on the game.

First of all, this could be played by anyone above the age of 7(of course any age if your risking them having a DS). Even though young kids can play this, adults enjoy this too.

You basically start out with nothing, come up with the your name, town name, male/female... etc You finally get to the city and work for Nook for a while(i guess like the 1st one?). Once you finish you can do whatever. <-Best part!

I love the multiplayer here! I play with my bro on it all the time. All you do is one open the gate and the other(s) go visit you. They can't do certain things while at your town(ie Donate, pay morgage) but any basics things can still be done. I have not tried this out online because you have to know someone and have their friend code. With so much hassle of the Wifi stuff, might be easier to go to the friend's house since you can't play with anyone other than friends.

Well this game has made me play it several hours a day since I got it, so i bet most people will enjoy this. If you are thinking of a game to get for someone for Crhistmas, get this game or Mario Kart DS. Both are great and addicting games.

1 out of 5 stars A Disapointment   January 2, 2006

When I got this "game" I cried. I expected great things to come out of this game, having loved the first game, but all I got was Animal Crossing with some Online advantages. This game is A TOTAL RIPOFF of the first game! They even DESTROYED the holidays! Christmas, Thanksgiving? All wiped off the face of the planet. And New Year's Day? Pathetic! This game also comes with a caf'e and an observatory, which aren't all that anyway. When I see games like this I want to yell, "Why, Nintendo!!!" ):

----------- (Author unknown due to his not wanting to be killed by an angry mob)

PS. I am actually a huge Animal Crossing fan. I rated the last game a five out of five! (Which is rare)

5 out of 5 stars This game is filled with excitement and hours of fun!   April 15, 2006

I would totally get this game. It has great graphics and in my opinion I think it is much better than the gamecube version. The only thing I would cange is I would make the games bigger so your don't lose them. It is much more exciting. Instead of getting only up to 2 rooms ( like the gamecube version)you can get up to 6. But of course you have to pay your rent, which has no time limit at all. In this game Tom Nook's shop can get a beauty parlor where you can get new hairstyles ( which depends on how you answer the questions she asks you.) You find out how to get the hair style you want by searching on www.google.com . This time if you have different characters ( with different names or not), they all sleep in the same house in the the same town. Unlike the gamecube version you meet K.K. Slider downstairs in the musuem in your town. I would also be friends with your neighbors because they give different items for helping them ( running errands, getting medicine for them when they are sick ,giving items they need for there house and etc.) . You can purchase items from Tom Nook or Red who rarely comes to town. When you first go to Red's( his store is in a tent) he'll be by the post office. When you try to open the door he'll say "What's the passward",to get the passward talk to your neighbors and at least one will know the passward. Then sign up for being a part of his family, which costs $3,000. If you do not do this you will not be able to buy his stuff from his shop. If you do he will send you a letter before he comes everytime saying he'll be back soon which will be the next day.You can also can go to the lost in found and get to claim items there( it does not matter if that item is yours or not) . To get to the lost in found talk to Butch whose in the town hall and click on the botton Something Lost......... Well, that's all I can say, all the other stuff you can find on sites and etc. So, please get this game because it's hours of fun. And it teaches you how to manage money in a fun way.

If you own a DS, and you dont have this game, you are not getting the full value out of your portable console!

This game is 100x better than the GC version, and I've had it for over 6 months and I STILL play it everyday!

Try it, you won't regret it!

3 out of 5 stars great in the begining, turns into a chore....   July 12, 2006

When I first got this game, i was blown away!! I played every day, as much as i could!!! I was addicted to this game. but, about, a month an 1/2 later, the selling, and buying, and fishing, and checking the shop, began to seem like a chore.... when I usually played it after school, it would be fun, but after a while I began feeling like I had to do it. like if i didnt i'd miss out on the sales, or lose my neighbors. and being that your neighbors can move if you dont play, when i came back from vacation, i was afraid to turn it on to see how many people left. How many of my favorite neighbors moved??? it took my like an extra 2 weeks to finally be able to turn it on, that all my friends, and neighbors were gone, and a whole bunch of new people replaced them.I've never really played it again, because like I said, it starts out fun, and turns int a chore...
