Very usefull to use in those free times that yo have, waiting for something: at the dentist hall, at the bus station, etc. The graphic are superb. Easy to handle and carry. The controls are similar to the standard PS consoles.
Awesome! November 14, 2007 S. Wilczewski (Coral Gables, Florida United States) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Hello, THIS IS SO FREAKING AWESOME!! they have a varaity of games including hp, sims 2 games like sims2 castaway, and sims2 pets. I give this game console 5 stars, the graphics are awesome, also its like the size of an lx sidkick, and you can have a long while of play time, and go on the internet, the joystick is nibbly and cool feels good, as long as you have wireless source, the internet works. The graphics are mind blowing. The Sims 2 Castaway game is like playing on the computer, you can hug chimps, eat exotic food, and customise your sims. Even though the games are like $20 and up they have great graphics so please my mom even likes it.
Great handheld gaming system, graphics can't be beat. January 18, 2008 E. Lawinger (Sauk Centre, MN) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I still don't understand why anyone would choose the Nintendo Ds or Gameboy Advance over the PSP. Compared to any of the handhelds, the graphics are phenomenal!!! Awesome selection of games as well. I personally really like FPS games like Call of Duty and Socom on this system, and my son enjoys the Star Wars Battlefront, or Burnout. I really think they have the best selection for game titles for handhelds. This is so GREAT for long road trips or airplane rides. I love the fact that you can play movies (although it is a very limited library) and your music library on this, as well as surf the web. I have an Ipod as well, but this is much more useful on trips because sometimes you just get bored playing a game and want to switch to a movie/music or vice versa This is my 2nd psp and it gets a lot of use in our house. If it died tomorrow, I would get another one right away.
PSP 2000 January 27, 2008 J. Martin (Armpit, New Jersey) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Excellent product, amazing graphics and portability. With the new (legal) firmware update from Sony you now have the ability to listen to crystal clear internet radio through your PSP with dozens of stations to choose from, I think this is my favorite feature. New with the PSP 2K (SLIM) is the ability to watch movies and play your music through your television set with a set of AV cables sold separately. Also with the update, you can play music while viewing a slide show from your photos folder which is pretty neat. You can also play games through your set if you have a progressive scan TV and a set or RGB cables also sold separately. Internet browsing is sufficient for light duty surfing and the GUI is fairly intuitive and easy to use. B/c this console has been out so long there are many aftermarket items for purchase and plenty of used games to be had at half their original price. I recommend a 4GB memory stick for this as game saves, music, and the ability to save movies on your stick will eat up memory in a hurry. Loading times are decent and internet connectivity on par with the latest wireless devices. Only downsides I see is that the surface of this unit is very easy to scratch, but you can buy protectors for that. Not necessarily a downside, but I'm wondering why in a world of Draft N wireless and quad core processors this unit with it's latest update is still using 802.11b and a 333 mhz processor. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a portable game console that's more of a jack of all trades; Games, Movies, Music, Photos, and Internet, what more could you ask for in something at this price point that fits in the palms of your hands. Cheers.
